as to the next phase of rally games. i would like this game to just keep growing and content added.

mp really needs to be in rally.not rally cross that is only a side dish.
longer tracks/courses.more realism/more content cars.
also stopping people being able to just keep rinsing events.one go one try.would change alot of results.it would make events worth doing then.

It was a great game, don't take me wrong. Spent hundreds of hours in it. But as a Burnout, not a racing game, it was mediocre. You technically had everything from other games... but it just didn't work as well. IMO they tried to put too many things into it and ended up with something that doesn't focus on any in particular.
There wasn't enough Burnout in that Burnout to call it a great Burnout, if you catch my Burnout... xD

Anyway, back to DiRT, I would really love for some small snippet, tease, anything. We need some gossip material to stay from the off-topic :D

They did (sort of): Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012) was basically a Burnout game with the Need for Speed name on the box. I've not been that impressed with many of the post-Underground NFS games, but I love Most Wanted: many hours have been wasted on that!

Well, we'll need 1.5 million credits to cover the Modern Master car pack, so at a guess, that's plenty more cars than what we've been anticipating, which is good news!

Nor sure, remember that 2010s cars are the most expensive cars in game. Either way, expert trolling from Paul there, good stuff for this thread.

So what are current values like? 500k for a 2010s and 350k for a 2000s? If so, I'm guessing 1 of each of those and 3 R4 cars at around 220-230k each.

Please don't call that a Burnout. No one who says that have an understanding of how Burnout actually works and plays out. MW'12 compared to Burnout is a slow paced game.

How do you guys have so many credits? I have about 800k and I've hardly bought any of the cars. Most of mine gets spent on team management

Well then I can be calm and stop grinding money as I've reached the required amount yesterday and even made some reserve for engineers.

Saving on team management, always trying to start event with at least two managers lacking (they're not needed in first 4 stages), finishing events no matter if you've crashed or not (there's still alot money even for 4th and 5th place).
I do also try to avoid perks but with last update I did spent some money for fast upgrade in Ford and Subaru.
Besides I've lost pretty alot in early stage as I've failed to managed the perks and cleared some when I wanted to add new ones. Generally there's lackness of places to spend money on.
I don't take place in Leagues as they're not giving any IGC.

I have a feeling that the sum will split into:
1x 2010s for ~600k (Polo / DS / Hyundai (?))
1x 2000s for ~300k (Focus)
3x R4s for ~200k (Lancer, Impreza, Megane(?)/Lancer )

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that they weren't lying about no way for Citroen Xsara.

Not so much money for cars, 2 2000 are 1M, and r4 maybe 3 or 2 and 1 lower spec(R2)
2000= 500K
R4= 150~250K
R2= 75K
I will be really sad if modern masters only release 4 cars, because of being just a car update... And it is probable  :'(

I don't mess with the perks, do a lot of Championship (1 run on Masters gives you 1 million + IGC now) and that's that. Giving your engineers the general perks for 4WD, RWD and FWD makes it very versatile. Usually 12 stages will result in getting if not all then most of the upgrades for a car ;) Which against AI even at Master level is more than enough to beat them.

I have also all the cars bought, about 300 stages on 3 of my engineers with one having about 700. If you need quick IGC, do Pikes Peak. Score winning run, abandon 2nd run. 120k+ in 10 minutes basically.

Remember about V2 physics coming for Group B and A. That's not so easy and small step...and about hell lot of other small fixes.

If the 1,5M value is a fact, then there is only four or maximum of five cars coming?

1x 2010s - 650k
1x 2000s - 500k
2x R4 - 175k/each

Or two 2000s cars, two R4:s and one older car?

Or the cars will not be that expensive, or the 1,5 million figure is not 100% precise or many other things ;) Whatever happens, we'll have quite few more cars to drive with.

I dont really have any desire to buy/drive R4's to be honest, regardless of cost.  Maybe if I get bored further down the line

Would be nice to have a list of how much each car costs etc. I buy all cars the moment they release so I'm at loss here xD
