So, if i *am* correct in that assumption, it's the time of day stuff, PP isn't run at the end of the day (so sunset timing)  It's run really early (road closure stuff) so as not to disrupt traffic as much.

If this is the case, theres a guy on this forum who actually lives near the peak and has been saying the sun position is wrong since its release.

As much as I'd love to see a standalone sim-oriented RallyX game with cars from the 60's Ford Cortina, to the Group B rallycross cars and all the way up to the modern era, the reality hurts. It simply is too niche and wouldn't sell. It's damn shame, frankly. 

Yeah. A late 80's/early 90's themed add on for the rallycross would be very well received though*! (* well it would be from me anyway!)

That just reminds of the Driver series... but KickUp would probably start saying things like "Left square over bump, caution, don't cut." and before you know it you're somewhere in the woods on a romantic getaway. One way or another, he'll squeal. ;)

It's actually a scene from The Driver, a film from 1978, which is the inspiration for the Driver series ;)

I don't think it is... I think it's definitely "inspired" *cough* but I don't think it has directly to do with Chemical Brothers. Apparently a jingle/soundtrack company named Octagon Music made it, as well as the soundtracks for most CMR games.

Interestingly, the original "Star Guitar" was used in Milestone's WRC 2.

@DocStrangelove is right on that, it was a jingle made by Octagon Music, specifically Jonathan Colling.
Was available on the game soundtrack, (here is the link to them : http://www.amazon.com/Colin-McRae-Rally-Official-Soundtrack/dp/B003R0MHQK )

I do have the soundtrack, so if someone is willing to give me some footage, I could try an exercice of either replicating the menu video or to create a trailer with that music :blush:

It's a 3dsmax plugin (https://www.afterworks.com/FumeFX/Overview.asp). I've spent a lot of time looking at that window, seeing the numbers tick past.
