I don't think it will be any car but it will be as many as we can as it is seperate from the career. *separate. Oi.Well have nun of that hear.

And what form of competition does the ladder involve? It will be simultaneous but we won't have staggered starts. Simulating surface degradation and running order is on my wishlist but I don't think it is achievable for DiRT

I always think rally cars look naked without them ! We've changed the way the input system works so this shouldn't happen anymore.
KickUp 0 Posted February 1, 2017 bogani said: Porkhammer said: @KickUp will the slow shifting for sequential cars be improved in D4? The "feature" makes sense on cars with H-patterned gearbox and clutch; to prove a point that this is the fastest and most realistic way to shift to get the most out of the car, giving paddleshifters a small disadvantage - but it makes absolutely zero sense on cars fitted with actual sequential gearboxes. The main offenders in Dirt Rally being the Polo, the kitcars, and the Citroën C4. The sequential shifting on these vehicles are near instantaneous in reality, so I feel that this should be the case in-game as well. Agreed. And H-pattern dogboxes should work without the auto clutch delay. Dogboxes shift really fast as well. One cool feature could be that you can shift with or without clutch when using dogbox, but wear and tear would force you to renovate/repair more often without clutch. And I don't think you should be at a disadvantage for not using h-shifter/clutch. Not everyone own an h-shifter. Improved yes. There will still be a tiny delay and it will depend on the car as to how long that is.
warpengage 177 Posted February 1, 2017 Speaking of surface degradation, how unfair must it be for the 2WD cars that start last, after the stage has been torn up. I mean, they are the ones who struggle most with traction and they have to deal with the huge ruts.

Anything also going to be at Rallyday 2017? Nothing planned yet. Maybe I'll be able to sleep ;) No time for that: you'll have to DLC to get started on... No time for that ! sleeping is for wimps, you've got a Mk2 Escort to makeover ! :) ;) *Insert Frozen Let It Go meme here but am at work so would look weird*:) Since when do we care about looking weird? KevM 44 Posted February 1, 2017 I thought about that last night. With DiRT Rally, you could really spend time refining a setup to near-perfection for a specific rally stage. How are setups going to work for 'Your Stage'? Do you need Long gears, Short gears? Soft front-end? Tight Diffs? More suspension travel? How would you know?Could you do a pre-stage recce run over with a CREST animation or the like?

spothedog 5 Posted February 1, 2017 Hopefully after you run a stage and want to retry/restart the stage it will bring you back to the service area where you can tweak your setup. That was one thing I disliked in DR, I had to go all the way back to the main menu and start all over again.

Yep, the BTRDA championship in the U.K. Used to run smaller cars at the front, which was great for us in our 1.4 litre class. They changed it about two years ago so that it's the other way around, and the turnout of smaller cars has dropped off loads unsurprisingly. Some stages were absolutely awful to drive in a 1.4 fwd! spothedog said: Hopefully after you run a stage and want to retry/restart the stage it will bring you back to the service area where you can tweak your setup. Can't remember which game it was, might have been dirt 3 that had two option, 'restart' and 'restart from service area', that was a good feature

What would be really cool is if they gave us a true recce option with a 60km/h speed limit. Let's say Racedepartmen arranges a rally. They generate 9 stages(some re runs as in true WRC) that will be used for a rally. The week before the rally they create the same event but with the "recce" option enabled that limits you to one pass through each stage at the limited speed. Shakedowns would be essential to Your Stage From what I gathered on the day, I think it possibly gives you more twisting and tight sections? But I'm not 100% I thought I heard that it kind of morphs the tiles slightly, but I'm sure @KickUp will confirm!
