I just have one question about how the classes work. I know RWD/FWD/AWD have been split up again, but do they now play together? Like can the Lancia 037 and the Audi Quattro be in the same championship?

Probably not the same class/championship, but it seems we have multi-class events now, so maybe both in the same rally.

Glad you like what you are seeing peeps.
There is still plenty more polish to be done to get it ready for release. Also these were taken from a PS4 so those on PC will see further improvements. Those asking for XB1 capture it shouldn't look a million miles from this footage.

Everything looks really slick and well made Codies! Sounds seem amazing, the physics seem there, the amounts of cars, the Your Stage tech seems really awesome, the details, the features, the graphics, the menu's. Everything seems pretty much perfect. I even enjoyed that TheSlapTrain video even though he annoys me.
Also the training ground looks absolutely great! Thats a way bigger deal to me than I thought at first. I can't wait to test out my vehicles there, in that comfy open space with its backroads and stuff.

I know what you mean and its looking very nice indeed and like you I think the Dirt Academy is more appealing to me than I anticipated. It actually looks like fun, with all the challenges and stuff, not just a testing ground for setups. That being said, I really like the comment Im pretty sure I heard @KickUp say, about being able to access the setup menu directly from the training ground (I assume just by pausing) to give instant changes in testing! I know Dirt Rally had shakedowns which were really handy, but this is even better not having to go back to another part of the game to change a components configuration.  :)

Also did I hear someone say that you can make your own challenges @kickup ? Or was I dreaming? It would be so good if we could place cones and those destructable yellow blocks around the place to set challenges for ourselves and others!

You were dreaming. It's a cool dream though.

Thanks, Paul :)

@urgaffel I didn't really want to bring this up as it should be obvious to everyone (bar one) but here's what you will, or most likely will not see via the bumper cam so far as water splashes go.

Ooh! Wales: beautiful flowing stages. And Escort BDAs!

If they want the game on PS4 at all, they need to include a PS4 Pro version, as those are rules Sony pushed out. So you will see a version with a higher resolution and maybe a 1080p with higher graphical preset as an extra option but that's pretty much all when it comes to any extra stuff in terms of PS4 Pro.

PS4 Am will probably already be 1080p60. PS4 Pro could have HDR and better MSAA: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/comment/243582#Comment_243582

Atleast there is the possibility that one could still manually clock it, design route/stage manually and do it like that. Then of course keep stagetimes of different cars in a notebook!

We sure did not have to wait till friday to see some new footage popping up. Looking really good!

*sorry guys/gals for this mess with me and quotes..

A variety of driving and some really nice menu footage, some of which I hadnt seen. Like a quick look at the service park and some scrolling of car info page, which all looks gorgeous! Looks like a nice setup on a really big screen, but be warned the video music is awful and the guy driving is pretty bad ;) Still worth a look, just for those snazy af menus  :p

Yeah, their description apologieses for the muisic too, they didn't have a choice due to the event music being played.

I'm still confused (as another video poster was) exactly how to setup a rally event, it's the only unclear portion of the menu system in my opinion.

some stuff i like the look of some i wonder will it be a bit too easy like Dirt 3. one thing i have noticed is the americanism of stuff creeping in.is that a good thing not sure.

there is some great things im seeing not a fan of slap tbh. third person with a wheel.bites fist :#

its media so i get it. is his audience going to buy into dirt games though ? arent they all hey yall lets drift ? does worry me at whats trying to be achieved by using him. many hated ken block being added.dont use him but now use someone who kinda speaks in the same annoying way.

kinda weird.just being honest.

I haven't seen it mentioned already. What max length of stage we would get in D4?

I have seen @KickUp say about 13km but I just watched an interview video with a Code Masters member in which he states 10 miles, which is about 16km. For me that would kind of make sense since I seem to recall that the long stages on Finland (the longest ones in Dirt Rally) were about this length. Which I never quite understood because this was supposed to be over the limit of Dirt Rallys capability, but apparently, somehow they got around this for thise stages.

So Im not really sure anymore,  can you clarify if the stages can be as long as those Finland stages @KickUp , or is it more like only 13km?

One particular YouTuber gets invited to a PlayStation press event, and suddenly Dirt 4 is getting all American again? :unamused:

Anyway, Slap is Canadian. :smirk:

Did he not say 10minutes? Either way I'd say 10miles might be possible but I'm not promising it so I'm sticking to what I said before.

doesnt mean i have to agree with it.
