Anyone else in Tomorrowland having this issue?

Steam DLC should be available for everyone now by the way.

I'm in the UK and have the same issue on Steam, they show as purchasable but aren't in my library

Nah, there isn't. 😥

The "official" livery of the 037 is the Wurth one shown in screenshots, which I think is the same car they sampled the audio from. Kinda odd that they decided to "hide" the Rothmans livery despite not having the branding, even the mere color scheme is considered politically incorrect now? 🤔

In moments like this I wish Codies made the DLC cars moddable. The Porsche needs the word Rothmans in it, and the 037 needs Martini colors. Still, this is the best pair of cars released yet IMHO.

I do like the Rothmans-based livery on the 911 and the Würth one on the 037 but I still don't know why they can't add more authentic(-like) liveries. The other liveries in general are of poor quality when it comes to looking like a proper rally livery.

There was 037 with the Esso (camouflage) livery like the one on the Delta S4, an OliovsFiat-livery like the one on the 131 Abarth and several more.

The same goes for the 911 SC RS and there are still several running in historic rallying which look nice.

I totally agree with you, there was a lot fictitious liveries in dirt rally 1 and they looked awesome, the mk 2 escorts ones spring to mind, I can’t understand why they couldn’t make up new liveries, even when the black and white liveries were added, they had the numbers in black on the doors, I have never in all my years watching and being involved in rallying seen numbers done that way🙈🤦🏻‍♂️🤔

Who the hell thought that black with white numbers on the plain white liveries looked well, just awful🤮

Well I guess some people like to race with plain textured cars.

What bothers me so much is this game's way of handling modded liveries. Back in DR1 it was a bit more difficult to install liveries, and you had to know which modded livery replaced each default livery since you couldn't replace the previews. But you could still replace everything and have every car full of the iconic skins you want. Here in DR2, they are easier to install with the folder method, but only one or two slots per car are moddable and the DLC cars are locked away. I would gladly go back to the way it was handled in DR1 if that means more variety of custom skins.

Plain liveries are perfectly fine but iam talking about the black background with white numbers on the doors, it doesn’t look right on a plain white car, it should be the same as the plain black livery with a white background and black number on the door, it’s just some of the little things in this game at times really bug me

Interesting to see the that white/blue classic livery on the Porsche. Could ofcourse do with Porsche licensing. Porsche also raced with a similar livery last year at the 24 hours of LeMans. So maybe they are a bit easier with approving this kind of liveries.

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor Porsche Manthey Le Mans livery rothmans

Maybe Martini or Ford or Lancia doesn't want to have that. Even the official Ford liveries weren't in DiRT 4, except for a McRae livery on the 2001 Focus. Could be that Ford doesn't want to promote to much their history. While Porsche really like to show their heritage. They also raced this year with Brumos and Champion racing classic designs with their North America team. Though Ford did kinda do retro Ford GT designs this year at LeMans. So it seems they are not completly against it.

Honestly, if they just removed the giant "+" sign on them, they'd immediately start looking better. Not fixed, but better. the D2 is corny, but some of the liveries aren't terrible until you see the giant promo branding.

Yeah, 100% agree with this: I think several of the liveries would be vastly improved by this little tweak.

Just tried the latest arrivals out. The 037 seems way more predictable than before: and an absolute missile on tarmac!

I would rather just have a plain white car with the number in the rear window. I am still glad the plain liveries have been added though, they are my first choice for a number of cars now.

Gave them a quick run this morning and I have to say, I had to double check if my throttle pedal gave 100%, the 037 almost felt tame on gravel compared to before.

It doesn't feel as lethal as before, but I broke my previous stage times on the first run with it.

Hey @urgaffel just thought I'd check in - will this make it into 1.6? Thanks again!

Should do yes. It's better than it was, if it needs more work I can always tweak it again.

And what also is a pity is on the official liveries for some cars that are in the game your name and your number does not appear on the car when using it, surely that’s only a little thing that can be tweaked, would be a nice addition as you would feel like a works driver with your name and number on the works liveries 😁

Hi!

Due to licensing issues we are unable to put the players names on the licensed/real liveries.

Thanks

Hello!

Any chance to get future liveries like this? Same as Rothmans logic, censoring some stuff but keeping the color scheme.

I linked the 1999 Focus because that's the car you used in the iOS game. But the same thing would be applied to the upcoming Focus 2001 with the red/blue livery. Maybe Telefonica and Movistar would go easy on the licensing for the blue part. And just place the Ford logo where the Martini is, to keep consistency.

And if you manage to get Martini's and Telefonica/Movistar approval, you can bring the 3/4 livery variants from 1999-2002, as they rely on the same sponsors. That would surely make for some good Deluxe liveries.

@Riggs If they introduce that 2002 focus livery then I will probably cry tears of joy and drive nothing else for the rest of my time on DR2.0

This car was the car of my childhood. Colin vs Carlos, the best days of WRC. I spent so much time on Colin McRae Rally 2.0 just because of this car. I had remote controlled models, model kits, posters, magazines... I may have been a little obsessed, upon reflection. (Funny that I was actually a Burns and Gronholm fan, though).

Please please please CM, make this happen.

My thoughts exactly! So pleased to see the Porsche in those colours, I thought the multi-colour livery (from the early shots) was going to be the "real" livery for that car.

The Wurth livery isn't that great, but at least it is a genuine scheme for the 037.

And I fully agree with the comments concerning the Focus. Would be amazing if they could do something similar with the Martini livery!

When the devs respond very quickly to the below post, but never respond to your suggestion it worries me that it’s a non starter.

it’s a bit like when ppl make requests for cars. Someone asked for the ibiza and 306 f2 cars from dirt rally 1, and they got a wink emoji back from Christina. But when people mention other cars (206, legacy, late 90’s impreza etc) there is never a response from codies.

i’m just trying to read between the lines go figure out what future content is likely and what isn’t haha

It's interesting that in the Forza games (Motorsport and Horizon) you can have any official livery there ever was using the editor or downloading someone else's. What happens with the licensing there?
