Yes, so much yes!

The only pity of this announcement is the fact that R5 will be the top class again. Why would it be the cover car? Don't get me wrong, I like R5 but this means that WRC cars are out of the picture for the most part. I wasn't expecting the 2017 spec ones, older 2016 and before would have been nice.

So... is the rickroll forgiven? ;)

Can confirm the stages are hand crafted by the finest artisan environment artists and level designers.
All is forgiven! We are but specks of dust in your particle systems, by the grace of the almight pizza.

Not necessarily, it's maybe just a "marketing" deal withVolkswagen, and as their future car is the Polo R5, they put it in front cover.

Is Your Stage completely gone then?
I hope not. I hope it will be included aswell as an addition to the hand crafted stages.

a new authentic handling model, tyre choice and surface deformation.

Nice. Also Poland is included, nice rally with Finland tier high speed stages.
Road deformation- hope it means road sweeping! As for stages- is Your Stage gone? I guess it is...

Here's a couple of things I noticed in the trailer:

1. The Argentina stage in that video shows a bridge like those on El Condor stage/s https://www.wrc.com/en/wrc/news/april-2015/recce-notes-argentina/page/2334--12-12-.html so they could be real-life stages as per Dirt Rally.

2. The Audi Group B driver is female.

Real-life stages have been confirmed here.

Pre-order bonus? Sorry guys but that's not nice. What's next? Lootboxes?

Aaaand deluxe edition, and season pass. I just hate that I won't be able to enjoy the game to the fullest because I don't want to chime-in on pre-order culture and wait for reviews.

"In addition there will also be a DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition which also includes the first two seasons of post-launch additional content, each with three locations (split between rally and rallycross) and five early vehicles unlocks (Ford Escort MkII, Lancia Stratos, Subaru Impreza 1995, AUDI Sport quattro S1 E2 and Ford Fiesta OMSE SuperCar Lite). "

Happy DLC will come with more locations. And also the RX2 series are confirmed for a return :)

We are not afraid to make a challenging game. Driving a rally car down a stage is not easy and we want players to experience that same adrenaline rush from driving on the edge.
Good good

What's the betting those stages may be reworked ones from Dirt Rally 1? although personally I'd like to see Codemasters make their own version of Wales Great Orme stage (back this year, it's also in Loeb Rally, and a number of the WRC games).

If New Zealand is in I will write letters proclaiming my undying love to every member of the DiRT team. That's a promise.

@ChristinaMc imma need the first names of the whole team and a postal address  Looks like I'll be writing love letters for a few months.
I'm peaking on NZ here, but everything about this is hitting the nail on the head so far. Outstanding work.

What I can't wait to find out - will the NZ stages be based on a real location? Motu?? Otago? Whangarei? Regardless: HYPE

So, @urgaffel... is this a new engine or an upgraded old ego? Quite fine if you can't answer, but thought I'd ask :-)
