They have also stated that track degradation affects grip levels as well as the track shape, so that answers the sealed surface question. If the water effects carry over from dirt 4 it could make this quite challenging. The puddles on the edges of stages could really catch you out by pulling you to one side. DiRT 4 was best on those 'drying' stages, with puddles everywhere and fresh sunshine coming through the trees. Never quite understood, why that was only in scripted stages and not an option to choose for custom events.
KingOfCoins 239 Posted November 17, 2018 Yeah, that was really dumb. Hope it's selectable in DR2 or at least have it be as a consequence for picking rain in the previous stage.
Guest Posted November 18, 2018 Jon Armstrong answered a bunch of questions on his Instagram, and the spiciest bit of news was his intentionally vague answer about WRC cars... Its probably not gonna be current generation cars, but it seems like there will be more older cars. I hope the Citroen C4 comes back.
dani211212 184 Posted November 18, 2018 First look at Fiat 131 Abarth, and the Alpine 1600s is without official livery http://gamerknights.com/2018/11/pre-order-content-revealed-for-dirt-rally-2-0-day-one-edition/

Rallystu2 659 Posted November 18, 2018 So angry right now. I was having to wait til Tuesday to watch wrc Australia and Jon goes and reveals the winner in his Insta story :'(
KingOfCoins 239 Posted November 18, 2018 No need to be angry. I think we all knew who was going to win sadly. In the end it felt very much like the 2007 season or the 2011 season.
carpa 254 Posted November 18, 2018 This is a bit offtopic but it's so amazingly absurd I thought it'd be nice to share. Lamborghini Urus ST-X Concept. Rumored 650 CV and 850 nm for 1650 kg, ready to race in a specifical championship licenced by FIA on mixed surface circuits
Rallystu2 659 Posted November 18, 2018 Yea my heart sank in G.B when a marshal told me Tanak had binned it. Pretty sure I knew then who would take the crown. Been a good season though.
RodgerDavies 779 Posted November 18, 2018 Thanks @jonny174 - those sort of comms are much appreciated!a) nice official Fiat livery - makes me think the numbers on cars may not be editable in the same way as D4, although I can't remember how 'famous' liveries worked in that gameb) no competition livery on the Alpinec) the USA mystery continues. It's not tarmac (Spain specifically mentioned), but there is a 'mixed surface' event (which may not be connected)d) "lots of" new rallycross cars, make of that what you wille) mention of multiple Subarus. Also, the Impreza from '95 does say "1995" in the car name...Thanks @ShoMavtos @Rallystu2 come on man, it's a forum about rally games and a rally driver's Instagram! tbtstt 1,686 Posted November 20, 2018 Credit for this spot goes to @RodgerDavies who posted this screengrab from the latest video:In the confirmed car thread.Looks like the Peugeot 208, Subaru WRX STI (gen unknown) and Renault Megane RS RX are all in the rallycross class. I am surprised to see the Subaru given that it hasn't appeared in World RX this year. Bryntesson and Chicheret shown in cars they have never driven, but I guess assigning the correct drivers to the correct cars is a detail that is yet to follow? RodgerDavies 779 Posted November 20, 2018 I'll further that gossip with the "MK7" denotation of the Fiesta implying there may be a "MK8" too.
Guest Posted November 20, 2018 Also you can notice that the Peugeot 208 WRX has the old livery. Hopefully, they have still several weeks to fix it.
Oscar97 25 Posted November 20, 2018 The Mégane RS RX is a nice surprise. It's probably the most interesting car of the 2018 championship.

It's my assumption (perhaps wrongly) that if the game is to accurately reflect the 2018 Championship it won't include the Focus RS RX: the Megane would nicely fill that gap......that said, if the Subaru is in there then perhaps that is indicative that they are not strictly adhering to the 2018 entry lists and we will see the Focus return. Guest Posted November 20, 2018 The fact that we will have the Megane RSRX makes my day. ??I will sleep good now. Just hoping that all the 2018 cars will be there to complete what should be a really good official RX game. ?
