Probably where to put it is the issue. It would likely have replaced the impreza 95, and that would be a contentious call!

What's the reason for no Toyota anymore?

15 minutes ago, Rallystu2 said:

Apparently they just don't like being in games, and therefore tough to license

I think the problem is just with Codies. They were in AC and some other games.

Maybe, I'm not down with licensing to be honest, I've just heard people discussing Toyota being a bit of a hard nut to crack.

It’s a more recent thing, the last 2 Forza titles have had only a small amount of Toyota cars (Baja truck, Hilux etc.) and none of the classics.

The most recent Need for Speed had no Toyotas as well I believe.

Gran Turismo Sport is a little more successful in this regard, already has the new Supra.

Yea I don't mind either. Toyota are quite far down my dream car list, unless you count the yaris wrc.

There are a lot of people who want the Celica and corolla though. I'll take a 206 though please! Preferably burns 03'

If we get Toyotas I'd want the classic stuff that everyone remembers. Yaris WRC is cool and all, but I love how diverse the Dirt cars are compared to other rally games that tend to focus on the most modern stuff. Sure they're fun with the insane engineering, but all of the older cars have so much character! It's what makes the H2/H3/GrpB classes so much fun, everything drives so differently from each other.

That's as I understand it as well. My theory is that at Codemasters someone cracked a joke about including a turbo cheat.

I have just thought of another variation on your list @gfRally: if we could get some sort of Solberg tribute pack then they could use it to bring the DS3 back to the rallycross Supercar class!

Agreed. The historical cars is where DiRT excels too. Whoever made the Escort Mk2 handle the way it does is an unsung hero of our times.

+1 On the Subaru Legacy, what a cool car! Anyone know why such an excellent and iconic vehicle hasn't been put in DR1 or DR2.0 yet?

It's Group A, therefore it is awesome and should be in the game!

(I can see how it would conflict with the Impreza and has been overlooked though: the main purpose of the Impreza was to address the size issue of the Legacy)

I think it was a tweet about getting stuck in the mud. See it somewhere in here.

Japonese people are quite complicated...

You can keep those horrible F2s but I do miss the 037. BMW M1 is pretty close for now though.

Yeah, Greece would be great.

Hey, Peugeot 306 Maxi have a great sound and it's very fast for a FWD car.

Yea those things could beat wrc cars on tarmac. If the tarmac physics get a bit better than they can be a fun option.

I'd like more variety with f2 though. Astra, golf, xsara , 306 maybe.

Yeah, if the F2 class does return i’d be happy with anything that wasn’t in the previous game and is fresh.

Does it take long to get accustomed to right hand drive? I'd love to have some fun with Lancer IX, MK2 or MG Metro, but I play in the cockpit and it's quite difficult when you're used to the left hand drive.

Not in my hands!

I'm seriously bad at FWD though, although the Citroen DS21 is fun to just keep my foot on the floor, point the wheel where I want to go and let the back do whatever it wants.

For me it didn't take long. I even have shifter on the left side when I drive right hand drive cars in dr and dr2 :classic_biggrin: And on top of that I use this shift pattern when driving mk2.

Edit; holy **** that is huge image. sry for that.

That's some great news if it's true. Out of those 9, take 3 for the remaining 3 DR1 rallies (Finland, UK and Greece) and the hipotetical 4 remaining WRX events that are missing to fulfill the RX calendar. That leaves us with 2 extra locations. Could that be Corsica and Portugal/San Remo?

Bring it on!
