@PJTierney Not entirely game-related but, any chance we can get some videos from Jon's performance in Down Rally? Want to see that DR2.0 colored Mini in the hands of our game's rally consultant smashing the competition ;D It's a double proud win.

As for Clubs, the single-vehicle selection for leagues was available in DR1 Leagues. It would be great to have that back to pair some cars that are in different classes, although competed together (Lancer Evo VI and early 2000s for example), even if a "multi-class" does not come..

Would be best tweeting at Down Rally. We weren’t on-site recording or anything but they may have footage.

Did today quickly some D4 RX. And when you return to this game than it is noticable how different D4 and DR2.0 are graphics, lightning, textures, physics wise, AI, etc. Really a big wow. Yes, ofcourse missing thing f.e. some RX Supercars,  Lydden Hill, Dirtfish area, but damn what is DR2.0 much better in every aspect. Therefore imo some content from D4 deserves a second chance/life in DR2.0

Thanks ! Perfect to compare with these 2 pics.

And the effect is wow, as you said.

A little sidenote, it is te replaycamera ofcourse, but I use 1/4 speed (so i not stop the replay) when making the screen. Than you get a good nice speed effect in the image, well at least in DR2.0, in D4 this effect is not there which is interesting.

So I think we need a full photo-mode 😇

been saying this for a long while. its not just for ingame. social media side is where this will shine and bring many people to the game. the better we can take pics the better we can show the game. its worth making the effort to bring this to the game. people modded it already on pc like i said they would in a short period of time. so a professional studio who makes the game really should have this in.

Actually, the pictures they use on facebook and other media are done with a photo mod. (I don't talk about the community pictures).

I mean, the following one can't be done via the replay mode only.

Lâimage contient peut-être : voiture et plein air

I still can't understand why they forgot to put a photo mod. I love DR 2 and I am always saying it everytime I can, but this is a mistake IMO.

I know PJ said few times that it was not a high priority for the dev. But guys, come on' !

It's not going to happen with DiRT Rally 2.0 I'm afraid. Future games though, the community pics make a convincing case 😉

hopefully been on about it since dirt 2.0 was in early conception. social media and a great picture can sell a thousand games. it really is bigger than just a better picture or some selfish reason for wanting it :classic_biggrin:. not only that a free cam for eg we can get better video footage. it all helps. its annoying knowing its possible i know people who make the mods yet the studio wont. fingers crossed for the future.

it is funny that the exact tools im on about that you use em pj lol.

I don't but our art team have tricks up their sleeves 😉

Also, you don't need to convince me of the power of UGC and photo mode, I played Forza for a decade 😛

Pretty sure PJ already explained once that they have the ability to essentially "freeze" the game in a snapshot. From there they can fully pan/zoom/move the camera around the engine and adjust all lighting/weather values on the fly while the game is in that "snapshot" frame. So they just have to find a decent setup for car positions, then spent most of their time getting the camera angle and photography aspects correct.

this is how you drive the Porsche 911😍😍😍

What is an Opel doing with the Mitsubishi livery? 😄

Please, only bring DR3 if it's going to be a big step up from this one, with the current locations included at launch. For the new game i'd expecting 1 or 2 new longs for each existing rally, otherwise if you just keep milking it's gonna be bad.

Milk this one first until it dries out. Technology takes time to research and develop, so take DR2 to earn some time.

I presume your referring to the white Opel Ascona of Vincent bonner who was sponsored by Mitsubishi, not exactly a Mitsubishi livery

A little gift for the all the fans of historic rally cars, especially those from the UK.

The iconic Russell Brookes 'ANDREWS Heat for Hire' Ford Escort Mk.II - Lombard RAC Rally 1979

Yes. Seemed weird though, a car brand sponsoring another car brand 😄

Think it was Mitsubishi trucks or Mitsubishi electronics not the cars
