World Rallycross Championship:

  • Added support for 2019 RX Supercars.
  • Added support for 2019 World Rallycross Championship locations.

Excellent, looks like I'll be doing another World RX playthrough!

Do you know if the 2018/2019 playthroughs have been adjusted to just include relevant tracks @PJTierney, or are non-World events (like Lydden) in the mix?

Please say in the new special Update/DLC this thing can come.  😍image.png.a6d413624e01ce5ab38c85f2bd682304.png

Or maybe a past 2017 WRC car finally will appear? 🤔

Post '17 WRCars would be amazing, but I don't think it's likely to happen...

...we know they have recorded classic Impreza WRCar audio though, so that one seems more feasible! (I hope)

2017 cars are impossible because they belong to the regulation set currently in use for World Rally Cars. 1.6 liters, from 2016 and before, is probably as far as they can go because they've been retired from WRC competition.

When I look at the Mini Countryman with the DiRT Rally 2.0 livery, I always think that maybe, just maybe, that car has a bit of an extra tie in with the game. I would love to see that class make it.

That Page lists " Prodrive 6 speed semi-automatic gearbox with pneumatic paddle-shift or conventional H-pattern " for the S3, S4, S6 and S5.
The Evo Vi lists " 5 speed manual gearbox, or 6 speed sequential gearbox INVECS type shift. Click here for Holinger manual ", where they have clearly decided for the sequential. I hope we will get a sequential Subaru for competition as well. Does anyone know, which actual cars in WRC used which transmission?

I am still wondering which one we'll end up with, and more importantly how classed?
Technically it would go into Group A, but the Legacy would go there too. Which would leave it mostly behind from the get go.
I'm all for a class split or a Multiclassing of cars, both of which would probably require a leaderboard wipe, which makes it less likely (sadly).

Imagine a Rally Season with the Group A, minus the Evo, plus the Legacy.
Or one with the '01 Focus, '00 Impreza and '99 Evo.
Or one with the Delta Integrale, '99 Evo and '99 Impreza.

@PJTierney Is Multiclass support for clubs still on some wishlist in the studio? Or has it been confirmed as not happening?

P.S. Since 1.12 is still not Live, my usual Video will have to wait until after work tomorrow.

EDIT: so the '99 Impreza was definitely paddle-shifed:

@PJTierney

EDIT: so the '99 Impreza was definitely paddle-shifed:

The '99 (S6) was the first one with a paddle shift @SkyRex. The gearbox was trialled late in '98 and then introduced in '99. It was actually a semi-automatic "H" pattern gearbox (oppose to being a sequential 'box).

If the early Impreza WRCar comes then it should go into 2000cc as it was far beyond Group A, that said, if the specs are accurate then it's going to be one of the slower cars in class...

...not that I care, as I'll drive the wheels off it anyway!

As far as I’m aware this isn’t in the future plans.

Six spoke Speedlines are the only choice for the classic Impreza!

Given that Codies seems to have good relations with Petter Solberg and have some of his liveries in the game, and have now got one from his father-in-law on the Stratos, maybe some strings could be pulled so we have one of his brother's liveries on the Focus? 😁

We probably have to redownload Finland because of the new weather options. So there are a couple of gigs in that

FYI, not in the patch notes, but the update brought also two new liveries for the already released 2019 World RX cars:
- Demoustier (Spa RX)
- Kalliokoski (Sweden RX version, as the other round he competed, which was South Africa, was a different livery)

I really thought the Enzo Ide livery would come, as his name passed by in the 2019 RX part 1 video. Maybe it not will come or its still w.i.p.
Also no Munnich livery, so i wonder if that will ever be added.

I’m hoping for a new class: ‘late ‘90s 4WD’ maybe? That Impreza, plus the Evo VI (or a new to DR2.0 model, Evo V) placed in a second category alongside being in group A, Cordoba WRC and Escort WRC or ‘99 Focus WRC.

Legacy could go with the rest of the group A stuff but really as they were all around in ‘93 (except the Evo) can’t we have their performance somewhat equalised by weight, wheel width and restrictor size all being set to 1993 rules?

Either that or ANOTHER new class for the Lagacy, joined by Sierra Cosworth 4x4, Lancia Delta HF 4WD and Golf Rallye (the one with oblong headlights and the supercharged engine). 😜

😜

I think a lot of us would like to see a separate late 90's class if the early Impreza WRCar gets added though, at this point, I think its unlikely as (I assume) moving the Evo VI from Group A would require the leaderboards to be reset.

Didn't they fix some of the Monte hitboxes? That would explain the massive download size. Any location fixes require them to repack the files and we have to redownload the entire location.

Also don't quote me on it but I could have sworn I remember someone saying they had to actually split up all of their fixes (even if they were ready for patch 1.10) cuz they know people would be mad if they had to download a 40gb patch to fix all of the locations at once.
