It's good to see the DiRT team expanding after the downsize not too long ago.
Looking at the description they need to add passionate about rally.  Oh and likes the taste of GRAVEL in the morning :)
Trying like mad to figure out what is on that PC screen in the backgorund. At first I thought it might be a terrain editor, but now I think I'm convinced that its an editor for a race suit for the F1 game. On the LHS it looks like a glove and maybe the RHS is a Force India race suit. or maybe not.

Can't believe its this time of the week again... :/

So this week I have been mostly...

Monday was blog post writing and sorting out what kind of things would be good to ask the team to write for you. Paul wasted no time and was the first to hand his in so he got a gold star! The rest of my time was spent getting as up to speed as I could on F1 2015 ready for when Luke left :'(

Tuesday I had some awesome dudes in from ToRA, really hoping we can do some stuff with them in the future ;) and Luke had his last day </3

Wednesday I shown my great big new Codemasters plan to the heads of studio (last week was the heads of the company/brand) - they really like it which was awesome. Next week I'm hoping to show it to the devs then the week after actually start doing it! Woo!

Thursday was an F1 day, doing F1-y stuff.

Today I had my phone stolen my a minion in the car park when watching the solar eclipse. He ran off with it! then I got told off for having my phone stolen by a minion.
Bad times.
Then I went the pub with Darren and Paul (I could have stayed there all afternoon) and then I had to move all my stuff to a desk about 8ft away from where I currently sit in a room with no people in it because people enjoy wasting my time for some reason. Weirdly I've ended back up in the very first seat I sat in but I don't intend on being there much, I've another new "hot desk" sitting next to Paul and Darren (after they also had a move around) so I plan on spending as much time with those guys as I can from now on. #TeamDiRT4Life

Oh and don't bother looking for hints on that job listing, there isn't anything there and that pic is a generic one I use for job postings.

Everyone would probably have submitted their entries, if you were giving out beers instead of gold stars.

This is blatantly more @justbiglee deception: must study the image until I can find a hint...

Yeah, but the best clues are the ones you post without realising it. So you wouldn't know !

I still don't understand Codemasters' approach to public relations and drumming up excitement and enthusiasm about any upcoming games/sims, namely F1 2015 and Dirt 4. Whoever is in charge of that needs to be fired (maybe already has?) or needs their head examined. I assume your hands are tied @justbiglee ,but seriously, if Dirt 4 is as amazing as anyone who's played it claims it is then why in the h$%!! wouldn't you guys start bragging about it?!

And what's going on with F1 2015? Surely that is a lot closer to release and the only thing I've seen is some "leaked" footage or screen shots?!

What the heck is going on with Codemasters?? Get it together.

I'm only passionate because I enjoy your titles and I'd like to see you continue to exist as a company. The general perception is that Codies doesn't listen to their customers and that their releases are watered down from what they should be and because of this the company in general is a bit of a sinking ship.

Please do yourselves a favor and move on some of this stuff. Let people know you guys are listening and that some good content is in the works for God's sake.

Unfortunately this happens with all products, companies won't say anything about it for long periods for certain reasons going on behind the scenes. Just not as many companies have an interaction with the core fanbase as video game companies, which probably makes the wait seem worse!
All I can say is, be a bit more patient, and it will definitely be worth it!

I'll get my coat then.

"It is quite possibly the greatest racing game anybody has ever made" < Hows that?

They may have not even decided to release it 100% yet. Just because they have done some of the dev doesn't mean they will. Along with their preferred marketing strategy there can also be other reasons. For example if none of the cars have been licensed yet how can they show them ?

I could come up with a list of reasons as long as your arm as to why they haven't/don't want to release info yet. It's pointless speculating though. The bottom line is though that games companies make money by releasing and selling games. So the minute they think they have a game that is ready to release info on they will do so.

Are Car Throttle being paid to talk up the new Seb Loeb game?...

http://www.carthrottle.com/post/milestone-and-sbastien-loeb-create-exciting-new-rally-game-for-2015/#loggedin

...crap article, particularly the segment where they list several circuit cars as cars in the game. Oh and "while the rest of the world was losing faith in the DiRT franchise"? What little they know...  ;)

Oh dear...  Have they even played the WRC games from Milestone...? Eh...

My favourite quote:
We can at least expect the Audi R8 LMS Ultra, Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars to show up in the game.

I'm no motorsport and car specialist, but I don't think the above cars are made for rally or rallycross...

That line feels familiar. I seem to remember something similar in a report about WRC3 or 4. Not to suggest that they are being given a line by Milestone though as it may be complete coincidence.

I can see why people might think that though. We've been running in stealth mode for a while now.

Yeah, if you want to put a Porsche in your game you have to sub licence it from them. That's why you usually get RUF's in most games

Yeah... i'm not to sure the people at Car Throttle know much about rally or rallycross if they think those cars are for off road use.

Yeah, that is a fair point. The DiRT 4 hints have been there, but perhaps not immediately visible to those who aren't looking for them.

Having said that Car Throttle do seem to have a habit of nut-swinging from whatever is new. The other week they were raving about Project CARS, though from the nature of their posts it didn't seem like they had even played it...

...exactly what I put in the comment section on Car Throttle!  ;)

That might actually fall under the same ruling as the RUF sub licence?
