Since no one here apparently wanted to take that shot at 1080p resolution... here you go. I'd take it in 4K if I and the vid had the option but alas, only that.

Maybe german roads...the vineyard sections have such hairpains:o

If you look to the top right part of the stage, before the long straight, it looks as if the road is doing a very long hairpin and then crossing with itself (bad explaination I know). Didn't think Your Stage was able to generate these sort of things...

Anyway what would be the black/blue stuff, I've assumed it's a lake. How would road go over it? A bridge.
Those are shadows that are being casted by the hills due to the position of the light source. Judging from the topography of the map and the stage layout (including it's very early prototype, so simplified a lot) I've deduced it's going to be Argentina.

Also, that's what my instinct told me the moment I saw that image. I tend to go with it, so there you go xD
I like this method ;) my instinct would go with Argentina or some sort of Alpine location, don't know why though

I have big experience in Richard Burns Rally so I dont think so ;) But really - its possible is this a sim handling? I hope that is gamer mode ;)
Nothing can beat RBR in simulation /s
No, aki1337 use a gamepad with simulation handling. I think it looks easier than it is, and he probably practiced a little before actual recording.

Yes but the car reacts so fast, grip is too good. I saw other videos, for example Fiesta R5 on gravel and it looks more realistic ;) Maybe because of that he using a gamepad ;) I cant wait for this game to test it myself and to end with RBR once for all :P

I feel it just looks a little weird since the way the wheels react to a game pad input is very different from actually spinning a steering wheel. I always found game pad footage of dirt rally to look really twitchy as well.

I think that shot from the video is either a DiRT Rally stage or some other work. As the program you're looking at is 3DS MAX (which is modelling software) I doubt it's Your Stage, unless they've implemented it into Max.

Agree, they wouldn't have let anything that would hint at DLC be in the video.

I'm... not that sure about that. Codies sometimes tend to realise they goofed up after they did it. On top of that the topography doesn't look like any of the locations we know.

I have to agree with you here. The 2001 Impreza seems to have crazy grip. There is very little slip going on and as you say the car reacts extremely fast. I know he's on pad and that can make movements a bit twitchy, but there is massive amounts of grip to match the twitchyness.

Yep. I'm extremely pleased with what we've seen of the tarmac handling, but the gravel still looks far too grippy. It's a shame, because in RX the gravel looks like the real thing.

Yup, I feel the same. I really wish we got a new slider for Your Stage generation: "surface condition", that would define how much grip cars get (on top of that it could be used to make road order important in multiple leg events).

Maybe @KickUp , @ChristinaMc , @urgaffel can clear this up  :p

We know it will be dlc, we only tend to speculate about the location  :D Right...?.....

Joking (or not) aside, I liked the interview a lot and the part with the car designer was superb. So much detail is simply asking for a kind of phoootoooomooode <3

The R5 cars on gravel looks better though. Both the i20 in Australia and the Fiesta in Wales that was on the Dirt live show.

I trust the experts that have given feedback on the handling.  The only thing that I'm still stuck on is the replay cameras, I could swear that i saw it mentioned we were going to be able to manually switch between spectator locations.  The way it switches now is a little to quick.

I would love to see a car make a full in/out of view progression, Sweden in DR was starting to approach this, but there are a lot of small things the cameras have improved in D4.

Night time is the right time...A rare look at those epic D4 headlight effects  and those moonlit clouds are scrumptious! Also check out the brake light and turbo backfire lighting up the pitch black tarmac behind the car in chasecam @ 6:55 looks so good :)

Yeah, I was also under the impression that @KickUp or someone else, said we would get a proper TV Cam/ trackside ONLY view with no switching to other views, but from what I can now tell, this is not what we will be getting :(

It has improved though and there is considerably more trackside footage available in the replays compared to Dirt Rally which I am thankful for, but its still anoying when it switches back to other views and overall this detracts from the pleasure and doesnt look nearly as good as a pure trackside replay, as you can see in the videos I linked below. Full Helicam stage view is epic and much appreciated :) but I was looking forward to full trackside stage view even more!

It is possible to do, because a guy made a mod for Dirt Rally that has 'full in/out of view progression' in the replays and it is truly impressive and beautiful and so refreshing compared to the silly mixed view DR has with all the mudflap cams etc  :D  I dont know why we cant yet have this as one of the the options in replay mode if a modder can achieve this in the previous game? And with seemingly more trackside cameras present in D4, compared to Dirt Rally, the effect would be even more impressive to see a whole stage covered like this in a replay. But where there is still apparently longer gaps between the cameras, we would still get those long anticipating shots with the engine noise building from a distance and the camera focused from far away with the car approaching for ages, which look amazing and (the gaps) actually make it way better! So that would be a rare treat at several points in the stage replay, giving variety, atmosphere and realism and would be a lot nicer than the camera switching to an in car view.

You can properly see what Im talking about here in the videos below, check them out because they are awesome to see! Now who could say thats not a beautiful sight to a Rally fan and full of atmosphere both visually and aurally, that you dont get with all the view changing? I just wish we could finally have this as it would work even better in D4! Sorry to go on
:D but this is really important to me and I love it so much!

Is there any chance this can be be updated in a future patch or DLC @KickUp ? Please say yes!
:'(  I will send you beer and Kebab Pizza

...no.
My favorite will always be the N64, because apparently at some point in time the Japanese had 3 hands.

Pssst, this is going live tonight! And there are a few faces you might recognise... (not just ours, you're used to our mugs by now) https://youtu.be/4n9y-urNw6Y
My interview was pretty bad haha! I remember at the start you asked me to say what game I was playing and I wasn't sure if I was breaking NDA by saying dirt 4 (despite the fact I was stood in front of a massive board with dirt 4 written all over it!)
Wow. A few things,
1. None of you guys look like I expected
2. It's probably because I'm only 22 and my dad is adamantly anti games, but I always find older gents playing games a bit odd for some reason.
3. You guys are wayyy too nice for letting the programmers be in the same big open space as other people. Or maybe you're actually very cruel, in my experience they're typically nuts and daylight makes their skin sparkle.

They look like the cast of a gritty British heist film.
Which has Escorts innit?
Cosworfs, natch.

My apologies lads, you all look like decent gents.
Rights to the film though...
