Off topic but I'm on my way to Bradford for work training, we drove past a huge quarry or building site and all I could think of was a rally stage/rallycross track as it was all dirt.

This is going to be a long two days away  :'(

What we really need is a point'n'click Stage Creator using Google Maps. Or Google Earth. Oh, sod it Codies, give us the whole Universe!
Nasa 4 hire Rally Moon? It'd give a whole new meaning to the complaints of the 'weight' of the cars.
Stage generator clearly needs a Gravity slider ;)

I don't get the difference between the Impreza 2001 in DR and in Dirt 4, and why they have a different sound...
Also a lot of people got new liveries in the career but I didn't get any? Is there something we must do to obtain them?

Because in DR the sound wasn't from the original car but tweaked by @soundfx from something else. Now in D4 it's recorded from actual Scoobie 2001.

I did championship on 1st place (every rally) in 2nd rally group.

This technology could be done in future and probably would be very good for rally sims. So your idea is not bad in my opionion, even if it might seem far fetched for now. Stages would not have to even perfect representation of real life at first to still have benefits.
With skilled devs & mountains of money something called VBS Blue could probably be one option even near future. Let see if this link works (n00b alert)

Forgive the double post, but something minor (and I mean really minor) that I noticed a few days ago but forgot to post: the photographers that were on the rallycross circuits in DiRT Rally are gone now.

Bring back the trackside photographers (please)!
You need to go back to Codies HQ and get yourself scanned in as the trackside photographer.

Handmade, beautiful stage: LACK OF CONTENT!!!!! WE NEED NEW LOCATIONS IT'S BORING!
Stage generator, infite stages, repetable tiles (it was obvious): BORED IN 2 WEEKS, GOING BACK TO DR.

Hypocrisy or what this is?
Are you guys bored with stages?  I think those who are bored didn't try to attack Global Leaderboards for WR's.
I'm so done with all these toxic comments I was ready to click flag after the first line :#

But then where would we get catapulted to? Outer Rims?

Didn't Gran Turismo already do this?

Quite often you get noise from the gearbox and Nicky saying there is a problem. Anyone ever had an actual problem following that, like missing a gear/gear stuck?

Same thing when Nicky claims misfire. I never feel any power loss and then engine sound itself never sounds like it misfires.

Here @bogani, I will confirm for you that there is a very noticable loss of power and a distinct misfire sound
This is my mk2 Escort run. The torque turns to jello when you get a misfire.
https://youtu.be/Wfdjs3d-z6I
It also happened to me on Stage 3 of the Hyundai event.
And even though I had only driven the Hyundai 2 stages previously,, when the misfire occured, the. loss was immediately obvious

Ah, nice. I never had that, only Nicky telling me there is one. Good to know it's there.

I was afraid of saying "SS" as the logo is absent from the grille. I'm no expert on the matter, but it has such a unique look about it that I just instantly knew it was a Chevelle, at least.

Ha, that would be pretty cool! Sure it would be easier for them to reuse the DR models though!

I really want to play, but my room is hotter than a Swedish volleyball team, making playing on a wheel a bit uncomfortable!
We have snow here today in Murmansk region.

See for yourself (June 20th 2017) :

Also, I just wanted to share how pissed of I am about playseatstore.com "Worldwide shipping" - yeah, right. Now I had to wait for a refund because, as they stated in a email, it's for "Europe only". What a joke.

My old rig, with terrible case ventilation, would throw off a lot of heat sometimes when playing DR. Actively snowing in Sweden was some of the worst for it. Every time there was snow I'd be hot and sweaty. It was an odd experience.

Sounds like a good idea but as long as they use this guy too...

The car looks rusty and it might have been left forgotten in that lookalike forest so the "SS" logo would scratch off easily.

I hear you, in summer the heat from the my monitor, tower and G27 wheel, plus all my rambunctious wheel inputs make Dirt Rally a very sweaty affair. I have triple screens that I dare not use on hot days, but that I should be testing out on Dirt 4 right now (though I may be asking too much of my GTX970). Being that its winter in Australia, maybe 3 screens, a hot GPU, the wheel and my desperate attempts to keep the car on the road will generate the right amount of heat to make my computer room nice and toasty? :D

Hi all, just so you know I am about to go on holiday for a week. I'm planning to be away from forums and twitter so that I can unplug for a bit and spend time with my family, so apologies if I'm not responding to stuff. See you all soon.

You don't owe us that anyway! Enjoy your well-deserved rest. Whatever anyone thinks of the game, I don't think anyone here doubts the amount of effort you put into it and to keeping us in the loop via these boards.
