Rally moves pretty fast. If you don't slow down and look around once in a while, you could miss the details ;)

ps, show off your livery, looks good
Here's the livery on the i20:

That looks awesome, especially with Prodrive as the primary sponsor!

In order to keep sponsors beyond initial contract does one have to simply keep them happy to avoid loosing them? Because it would be a shame to loose sponsors that make your livery "just right"

Also, someone mentioned being able to extend staff contracts a few pages back and I asked about it then, but no one answered. Is it the same case of keeping them happy to retain them beyond the initial contract?

Refined my team livery to something great now. It finally looks most like a real rally-team with nice sponsors. Less seems to be more with the color scheme. Tackling the Triple-Crown-Rally on Fearless now with my i20 :

Never noticed how the driver actually looks in the direction of steering. Great attention to detail !
edit: And the wheels are also visually deforming at the bottom. So many details you miss if not slowing down your replays from now and then

Let's face it, I'm not European and I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if their socialists? They could be Fascist anarchists, still wouldn't change the fact that I don't have a Rally car.

You can extend staff contracts if you go visit them, before their contract ends and click on "view contract" or something in the context menu. There you can rebargain the contract and get a fresh new 6 championship time.

For sponsors I found out that some start to reapear as available once replaced, but I couldn't find a way to predict that. Was happy I could reasign prodrive but some others like BP disappeared

Wat?! Whatever your point here is (I haven't found it), isn't the term fascist anarchists contradictory?
And whatever your point, you should always widen your horizon with looking abroad, if only to get inspiration for yourself. AFAIK Canada is going more euro-style in their politics lately and it seems to work better than us-politics so far, no?

Which rails?

My second display broke :(
Just when I've started using it with D4 stretched on both of them. It worked quite good...

Hello everyone, is it normal that there are just a few roomns in the join session room? In the evening I just saw sometimes 1, 2 or 3 rooms in simulation. Surely there should be more right?

Thanks @SkyRex many thanks for this info on extending staff contracts :)

So have you found that Sponsorships end exactly at the end of the contract? Because I thought I noticed some continuing past expiry because I was hitting my targets,  but I could have imagined this.

But I also seem to have noticed that those sponsors that I was pissing off, ended at the original end of contract term and then I had to go to the branding suite and get new ones, again this is what I think I saw but Im not certain. If this is the case though, I think it would be a lot better and give me an extra incentive to drive my ass off to keep my ride looking swanky and all pimped out with my favourite sponsors  :D

But one thing is for sure. DiRT Rally was the best reviewed game (from the moment it was published) that Codemasters have made in a long time.

I think still is the best reviewed game? DR launched, in Early Access, with only 17 cars and 3 Enviroments ( Wales, Greece and Monaco ). No Career ( it still doesn't has one ), no Multiplayer ( it came later with RX ), no Pikes Peak, no nothing. Just 17 cars and 3 Enviroments...

D4 is a " Full Package " and it's very far from that score... It says a lot.

If you actually read D4's reviews you see a lot of "Not enough MP stuff" or "Not enough rallycross tracks" as well as "Too much oversteer" (which is just hilarious no matter what you think of D4's physics) negative reviews that say D4 has better graphics and the one next to it *mostly* complaining that D4's graphics are worse than DR, as well as a lot of people who probably picked Gamer mode and are wondering why it's more arcadey than DR. Even just bizarre stuff like complaining about not being able to drive any car anywhere immediately which is just false. I think it says something about what reaching for a wider audience gets you in the immediate response department (like 90% of these reviews have single digit hours played).
Exactly!

They be like "Games shit I can't play cat and mouse" "I wanna crash into my mates car" "where's infected"

Imbeciles..... It's a rally game FFS

We need to create a list of movies like that.
I've liked that from the few minutes I seen it.

My HDD failed today, or shall I say don't mess with diskpart if you aren't sober. Selected wrong disk, wrong partition and wrong command, without hesitation pressed enter because some moron in Microsoft thought it's okay to make changes to HDD without a confirmation.
testdisk did it's job but i've lost the MBR part of disk. BIOS won't detect it even though it's mountable in Debian and it installed the system without a single problem.

Have to format it so I've finally got a reason to upgrade to SSD. Gonna take 2x125GB tomorrow to finally separate my Unix and Win system + data on two 1TB HDDs.

Uh, that was a hell boring/stressful friday evening.

/E: If that wouldn't be enough the reinstall and diskpart was caused by 2 BSODs and 2 F13 cause of completely stucked at D4. Not sure if my GPU isn't faling as well, but there wasn't anything prompting that way in Debian.... when it was still installed.
I've also had 4 fails of Nvidia drivers in past 3 days. Never happened to me. Gonna buy some thermal paste and clean my graphic card as well tomorrow. Hell, it will be torn apart, why not make a general cleanup.

Sorry for missing "n", i don't have that key in my old laptop :D

Took me a while to get my livery right, went through a bunch of different patterns and colour choices and then spent some time creating this beauty.

If you have a windows disk you could try booting into that and get to the recovery console. Try bootrec /fixboot and bootrec/fixmbr when working with the disk that the mbr got wiped from and there is a chance it might be fixable.

The upgrade to SSD is absolutely 100% worth it.

My options for a movie list would include Ferris Buellers Day Off, Uncle Buck, AIRPLANE!, Caddyshack, City Slickers, Blues Brothers, Fifth Element, Spaceballs, Galaxy Quest, Surfs Up, Blazing Saddles, The Naked Gun, The Naked Gun 22 1/2, The Naked Gun 33 1/3, Just about anything else with Leslie Nielson, The Marx Brothers, and Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.
The Princess Brides decent too.
Those are just the essentials. Quote from those on a day to day basis.

That was the first thing I've tried, with no success.

I'm not really angry, finally a motivation for a small PC upgrade, cleaning and unnecesarry data wipe.

I have SSD drives at my work PC and it is a blast difference in loading times and files operations.

Wow, I didn't see half or more of these movies.
