Any programmers here or someone who know how to modify or add more FF to game on PC

Recommended Posts

Hello

Coming from rFactor2 , the force feedback of F1 2016 on PC is way to smooth on track, there is no way tracks are this smooth in real life, no bumps, jerkiness while changing gears, etc..... I don't know how to program or what file to change to add stuff like that, does anyone know , any help greatly appreciated .

What wheel are you using? If you're NOT using a Logitech wheel, then use GIMX so that the game *thinks* you're using a G27, and THEN the game's force feedback will feel much better. They developed this game with FFB effects catered specifically and *mainly* towards the Logitech wheels. I had the same problem you're having with my Leo Bodnar wheel. Forces felt weak and too smooth. Now that I'm  using GIMX, F1 2016 thinks  my Bodnar is a G27 and thus delivers much better and stronger FFb.

Thanks ISAMU99

I am using a G27 , the force feedback is strong and nice... It lacks bumps , braking vibration , and feelings like that...

Thanks for the link ... the text file for the mod at Racedepartment is empty, does anyone how to modify  the settings the srthur is saying to do

This mod improves ->

Brake-FFB :
By default the wheel locks almost immediately after braking in F1 2016 which makes it hard to 'trail brake' f.e. This mod reduces the strength/locking on braking in most situations, some corners (probably related to the Surface Grip Values) may still cause wheel locking.

Understeer-Effect:
By the default you don't recognize any kind of understeer-effect on your wheel which makes it hard to drive consistant fast laptimes. This mod improves the understeer-effect so you feel how the wheel goes lighter if you are heading into an understeer.

Tarmac-FFB :
By default the roadfeel, feeling bumps from the track surface, is very weak in F1 2016. The tarmac-feedback was raised to improve the feedback for wheels. The FFB on the tarmac also depends on the track and track-surface, not every track-surface is bumpy.

4 different files with various strength settings :

1. ffb_brake_usteer_tarmac_default
2. ffb_brake_usteer_tarmac_30
3. ffb_brake_usteer_tarmac_50
4. ffb_brake_usteer_tarmac_80

This mod was tested on a DFGT and an AccuForce Wheel with Simcommander Software. Other wheels may work aswell. For stronger wheels Setting 1. or 2. are recommended. Setting 4 has the highest Tarmac-FFB (which i am using on my DFGT).

Own personal settings ingame :

100 FFB-Strength
35 Environemnt FFB
85 Weight FFB

Logitech-Settings -> let the game decide -> Steering Sensitivy 50 (for 360° lock)

If curbs feel to heavy reduce the Environment FFB.

Copy the FFB.erp into :
\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 2016\asset_groups\ego_package\ffb

Have Fun, Enjoy!
