Where is Patch 1.8.0?!

Recommended Posts

I hope CM keeps the license, they have done some great improvements last year (some things need to improve still quit alot )
and if there will be a new developer i think we will be thrown back in time if you compared with the racing you can have in f1 2016.

The only thing i hope is that they have the deal already, and are working on 2017's game.
And thats why they dont have time to chat with us here a bit ;)

These posts about patches are getting a bit boring now, don't you think?! We'll get a patch for F1 2016 sometime early next year !

Yes, I'm sure they are slaving away hard at another patch that not only fixes all known issues, but also updates all car models, ends world hunger and is able to to the cleaning up for me.

Or maybe we'll get a press release about F1 2017 in a few months time with F1 2016 continuing to be a broken mess.

..... did CM recived the licences for 2017? Im sorry to say, but probably it would be the best to gove the licence to someone other, Cut off this cm period..

Gonna wait and see how much of this frustration adds up to ppl speaking with their wallets. History says many aren't capable. I mean some of you aren't even capable of skipping a year between games, let alone two or three. At some point simple economics and common sense has to kick in.

There was a big and extensive discussion regarding communication on this forum back in the spring & summer of 2015 which led to the addition of a dev to the forum discussions (Lozzy) to help with fielding questions, a new CM and a pledge to improve this very situation we are experiencing now, "again"

Im wondering really why there is no answers regarding patch 1.08 neither from lozzy or jenny! They could say anything like right now we re working on it or there will not be patch 1.08 they could tell us the situation and beleive me its better than saying nothing! And what is really weird they suddenly appear when there is a post that is against the rules!! So this is really really weird! @Lozzy @jennyannem

at first they are now on christmas holiday so do not expect any answer untill the new year.

and secondly while in the whole release process the communication was really good and also in the beta codies really took our feedback onboard, it seems that their policy with "bad news" stayed unfortunatly the same. Instead of openly saying that there will be no patch due to ressources being shifted to 2017 or because the tyre glitch cannot be resolved, they just try to somehow  sit it out untill the next game arrives, which is not a smart tactic IMO as  bad news are better then no news .

• Long before release: "Can't talk. Working on secret stuff. Pre-order & stay tuned!"

• Shortly before release: "Can't talk. Too busy in overtime crunch trying to get ready for launch. Get hyped!"

• Shortly after release: "Can't talk. Taking post-launch break after pre-launch overtime crunch. Buy now!"

• After release: "Can't talk. Looking into issues. Thanks for your patience (and your money)."

• Shortly before holiday: "Can't talk. Staff trickling out for holiday break."

• Shortly after holiday: "Can't talk. Staff slowly trickling back in after holiday break."

• Long after release: "Can't talk. Old release is too old to support. Working on next release."

...GoTo line 1.

Pattern?

Funny how much "communication" is just to say they can't say anything.

Jesus, where is this patch? If it does not leave another patch correcting the problem of going out with the tire harder of the race. It will be a shot in the face!

So I see @Lozzy is back and commenting on things as of a day or two ago....

Well it seems quite clear why they won't comment anything.

Codemasters' logic is that it's better not to tell anything to customers if the other option is to say "we are aiming not to make another patch". Which is just idiotic because that makes fans even angrier at later stage when they finally announce that they have their focus on something else.

It's a miracle at this point if they would bring a new patch. As many have said earlier, they got their money and don't care about updating (=FIXING) the game anymore. You can all make your own conclusions about that but for me it's a big signal towards not buying products made by Codemasters. Making a game and end caring about it less than two months after release is just brutal against customers. Especially when you think how crap F1 2015 was and how people still kept backing up Codemasters. This as a "thanks" tells me enough about the company.

And don't get me wrong. I'm still desperately hoping for a patch. But at this stage, I think I have higher chances winning the lottery, twice in a row, than getting a new patch updated in my copy of F1 2016.

Here's the thing though, Lozzy and a buch of other employees surely know about this thread and the demand for a new patch in general.
But, you know, they ignore it. It's not that they come in swinging like, "Oh gee, right, another patch, now that you mention it, here it is!", they've moved on. They just won't say it, at least not now.

And a bunch of disgruntled customers never bothered them too much.

We will probably get a "codemasters style" answer. When they will have something "good" to say, maybe about next years game or something, they can just mention btw if you didnt notice, there wont be any patches but here's a great news...we are making sh*t again...
