Where is Patch 1.8.0?!

Here's the weird thing though. Assuming we do get a new patch of course, why hasn't anyone told the community about this?
Did Codemasters tell its employees to stay silent? Or, more bothersome if true, did some people simply didn't know that there is going to be a new patch? It is also the one thing speaking against a new patch.

Why the silent treatment, especially when a good chunk of the community is anything but pleased with the current problems of the game?

I agree, this is a simple question but it looking more and more like a hard one for CM.
Whats the reason for the silent behavior if they put out a new patch? In the past the annouced oit way ahead, sometimes maybe to soon imo. And again, youll see the forgiveness in lots of members when @jennyannem say THE FAMOUS WORDS: "soon there will be news"
