Adding a tad bit (1/2 psi or less)  more psi than standard is a performance advantage you can get away with in this game.

There's so many threads everywhere about tyre wear. I think I've said it about 5 times in the last 2 months.
It's simple, just drive smoothly, don't lock up and don't spin up your rears. In the test's use the vibration and avoid curbs.

Another thing is sometimes don't go fully on the brakes, as that wears the tires more.

  • Don’t lock up the brakes it causes flat spots on the tyres and heavy wear
  • Don’t over speed through corners, it causes uneven tyre wear
  • Avoid dirt and gravel off the track
  • Ease onto the throttle on corner exits, avoid tyre spin
  • You can clip the rumble strips, but don’t catch the inside of them
  • Late heavy braking puts more wear on the tyre
  • Aim to keep all 4 tyres on the ground at all times
  • Don’t weave in and out unnecessarily

do the practice sessions for tyre wear. I've skipped these in the past because of too much wear but this week got good results with a better wheel or setup, but I've lost all that somehow... so it's back to skipping them again. it's only a game.

Few options depending whats causing the tyre wear if its set up depends if you're understeering or oversteering/wheelspinning or both. Rear tyres are easiest to stop with set up, use less diff lock on accel, soften rear suspension, soften the rear tyres, run less camber, all that will help most corners but specially low speed if your sliding at higher speed corners you need more rear wing and you should find more reargrip and less wear. Fronts a little mor difficult as it will react to what you do at the rear generally running lower camber will sometimes help along with lower tyre pressure but mostly just playing with spring firmness, toe and front wing will do the most work. If you have both then you just need to find a healthy balance or compromise between the 2. If its overall a high amount of wear then back off your camber and tow settings and use a little more wing but generally if the cars not sliding your fine but remember if you use tc and abs you wont feel the sliding and it'll kill your tyres

also front rear weight balance seems to impact. I usually get 2X front tyre wear than rear, pushing weight to rear seems to help. maybe that's just because I will slow down more on corners to get the car straight for exit.

Move balast rear gives more rear grip but an understeer prone car. Foward gives more corner grip but likely to oversteer. I only use this as a last resort if i cant get rid of understeer or oversteer to create a more consistant car but not necessarily faster as it has a huge effect on the over all car.
