Brilliant weekend in Mettet and some action packed racing. Definite improvement in pace for the Peugeot-Hansen cars this year and the Hoonigan cars looked fast as well (when they aren't in the wars!).

Was hoping for victory for Solberg, but Johan deserved that. Great result for the Championship as well. that's really closed up the top three.

Ya, Hoonigan Racing Division is doing a great job. Its just that things haven't been going their way. I'm sure in a few rounds they will bag a win. I'm rooting for them.

If you turn on the VPN and go to the FIA WRX channel it should be visible to you. That's how I do it in Opera, just turn the VPN on and go to the channel and it's there.

Really looking forward to WRX in Dirt 4 a LOT, much more so than the actual rallystages. :)

I got some questions : 
1) Are the WRX tracks laser scanned now?  Just watched the 2016 Lydden Hill race on the FIA YT channel and that joker chicane seems much wider in real life than the tight version I have in Dirt Rally.  Same for some other parts of other tracks.
2) In gameplay previous videos or heck, even the WRX Dirt 4 trailer the lighting in the game seems so bright, as if the gamma is set way too high.  Why is that?  In Dirt Rally I also had to tone down brightness a lot to make sunny daylight look more normal.
3) Great that almost all WRX Supercars of the 2016 season are in, only the Audi S1 (and A1) are missing (I assume due to licensing).  What's the reason there?
4) I sure hope more WRX circuits will be added over time, having Montalegre and Loheac as new tracks is already nice (I can't wait to race Montalegre tbh, one of the most fun tracks in the series I think (after Hell ;p).  Mettet in Belgium looks great fun too so I hope it will make it in via DLC later on.
5) Pretty sad the track graphics between Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 are not really improved, I would even say they have gotten worse.  Here is a comparison of the view from the starting line on Hell in both Dirt Rally and Dirt 4:

As you can see the tyre markings on the track are diminished and the Monster Energy advertising (what is in real life all over the place as well) has been replaced with some fictional advertising.  And as said before Dirt 4 looking WAY too bright again.

Still I'm super pumped about this since the handling / tyre model / tarmac racing all supposed to be improved a lot.  Can't wait for June 9th!

Indeed. The lighting does all the difference.

It does, the lighting is far better. The shadows on the Wales stages look so great albeit a bit contrasty from what I've seen so far but thats just me and being picky as I'm into videography lol

Yeah, its a licensing related issue unfortunately. Damn shame, as it's a great looking car. With the official association between Audi and EKS RX for 2017 I have everything crossed that they might be able to sort something out.

Be careful coming.paring track textures as console was always worse vs PC, same on D4 and most stuff we've seen has been console.

In Dirt rally there was a large difference in how the tracks felt between monitor use or VR. With VR for ibstance the jokersection in holjes in very tidy. On the other hand the straights feel shorter in Lydden with VR.

Actually I think the Audi S1 is the ugliest car of the 2016 championship but would still love to see it in for completion's sake.

I'm also wondering if we get more RX Lite and Super1600 liveries.  That #7 Staponkus livery pops up in about all the videos that display Super1600 cars and it seems most other ones are fantasy liveries.  I hope for each car they at least have a few authentic liveries.

Ooh yes they also used liveries of both the Fiesta and the Fiesta ST as you can see from the list but at the same time there is only 1 Fiesta WRX supercar in the game..  So did Codemasters took the liberty to just wrap the liveries around the wrong cars or is there in reality almost no difference between the Fiesta RX and Fiesta ST RX?

I love the Hoonigan Racing liveries. They look so cool and unique. I will definitely be driving the Ford Focus RS RX a lot.

Well the cars of Nitiss and Wilks( with the loco sponsored Fiesta the latter, the former with the ibiza) are actually in the game, as well as Jeanney, Munnich and K.Hansen, just look up for specific dirt 4 rx videos, I've seen all of them as AI competitors, and the liveries were their real ones from last year...dunno about the others tho

Any link to a video where I can see the ones from K. Hansen, Jeanney and Munnich then?  Wilks and Nittiss I indeed already found as you said (one Fiesta, one Ibiza),
The one big missing livery is Ken Block's Focus then, kinda sad since it's a different colour scheme than the one from Bakkerud and different colour schemes is always nice.  And I agree that the Focus RS RX liveries (and the car itself) looks great!
Maybe Turn 10 pulled an exclusive one on that livery?  Since the Gymkhana version of Block's car was in Forza Horizon 3 (almost identical livery to his racing livery).  In Project CARS 2 there will also be rallycross (not FIA licence but individual cars and tracks) and they only have the Bakkerud livery as well.

Been looking a bit more and indeed found Kevin Hansen's livery, or at least a screenshot with a Peugeot 208 in the background with his number 71.

Also found more RX Lites cars, all 2016 liveries where the RX Lites logo has been replaced with RX2. :(  Aah well, I guess FIA made Codemasters do that.  The RX Lites liveries look really nice, we have the top 2 finishers of the 2016 season (including Bryntesson's Gulf livery) as well the Dirtfish livery from Martell's car (who only participated in the Canada race as he is more participating in the Red Bull GRC I believe).
