Dirt Rally goals for 2017?

So it's a new year. What are your goals for dirt rally?

I have two technical goals;
1. Get better at turning in and managing oversteer for better corner exits
2. Improve car control at high speed

Hopefully this will help me with my competition goals:
1. Get a podium finish in a daily
2. Get a podium finish in a monthly
3. Beat @Porkhammer on one single stage in any online event

What are yours? :-)

I gave up on the platinum a while ago: I have all the trophies with the exception of "Spirit of the rally". Despite several attempts, I seem to be unable to fulfill the conditions. so I gave up!

That's the only one I'm worried about. Tried getting it once before (I did meet all the criterias) but with no luck.

I find it insulting that someone at CM thought we would suck so much at the game that getting the trophy would be almost a given  :D

Spirit of the rally was a mess that Involved a frequently catapulted Quattro on Wales, 

Goals... well, shit, i achieved kinda all my goals last year.
I could go with the powershifting joke by dorfer and less yelling at Alpines.

You have to do it in a career championship. Custom championships won't work. I did it a couple times in the custom ones and nothing, did it in Career and it worked first time, the criteria is getting at least 3 parts below 50%

Cheers @Didzis, someone posted that in one of the threads on here a few months ago. I tried it again a few times at that point with no luck.

My final attempt was using the quattro in Finland: I got four of the parts below 50% with two stages to go. I then crawled through the last two stages to make it to the finish. Trophy didn't pop though, so I got the arse and decided not to bother again!

I believe I did try it in a Career Championship.  I'm going to give it another try when I have the patience for it though. Trophies/achievements where you deliberately have to fail genuinely suck.

Actually, it wasn't that straight forward, because you can quite easily do too much damage and not make it to the end. One time when I tried to do this, I had damaged the engine pretty bad and had to drive almost an entire long stage below 100km/h because when I went ful throttle, the engine died just after a few kilometers. You have to find a balance :D

I definitely can relate to the rage quiting. I've gotten better about it but I'll still alt+f4 if I completely ruin a run or championship.

I've rage quitted at least 5 times already today :lol:

I almost completely lost my 5#!7 when my 18 second lead went flying out the window thanks to a puncture. Came back relatively calmed down and finished in one piece while also extending my lead. Pheew.

I have never ever heard of said button combination nor its effects on a Royally fubar 'd stage....  o:)
