Hi ToniKroos, I take it you're playing on PC, is that correct? If so does Windows recognise the wheel correctly, you should be able to see in Devices and Printers in Windows.

Does that wheel have any dual compatibility modes for PC and console? Sometimes you have to boot it with certain buttons pressed to make it work on a specific platform, the manual should tell you. Make sure it's in PC mode because console mode could well pretend to be a pad so it works with a particular console.

I'm using the same wheel, and in F1 2013 the wheel was recognized properly as a Thrustmaster 458 Italia, but in F1 2016 it is now recognized only as an XBox controller.

The issue this is causing for me is that the game is applying "Steering Smoothing" to the steering causing it to feel laggy to the point of being uncontrollable. One of two things needs to be done to make our wheel work: It either needs to be recognized properly so this smoothing isn't applied, or a switch needs to be added for the XBox Controller settings to allow it to be shut off for wheels that are recognized this way.

Everything else about the wheel running under the XBox Controller for XBox 360 driver works just fine. It needs addressed by the devs in the software. (AHEM! AHEM!) I don't mind it taking time to get the work done, but a communication acknowledging the issue and stating a path to resolution would be in good form.

Right now I'm stuck with an unusable wheel and an unplayable game.  :'(

I've spoken to some of the guys in QA and they've had a quick look at that wheel on F1 2016 and they see the same issue. However, because the wheel isn't on the officially supported controllers there isn't any solution I can offer you from our side, sorry.
