Yes!!! Nothing, and I mean nothing, like the sound of Webers with an engine on full song.

I would swap the Focus '03, '04 instead of the '07 we have but I am happy anyway

That's not an Evo 9, it's a Lancer WRC05 and it has a spoiler like that by default. They dropped the Evo name for the later WRC models
This is an Evo 9:

Yeah, the 07 Focus is a bit lonely now performance wise.

Yes and the only Car that could be similar in performance is the C4, also the Suzuki SW4 WRC?(I think thats it is name) and the Subaru '07/08, but the early '00 Cars have a lot lot of rivals

If Citroen are being difficult, the "easiest" car (in terms of licensing etc.) to rival the '07 Focus, would surely be the Impreza S12b WRCar (that's the 2007 season car) as there is already a licensing connection established with Subaru...

...having said that, that car hasn't appeared in any recent CM titles, so it would need designing from scratch: and we know that's not a quick job!

There was this thing in GRID Autosport

I believe there are a couple of last minute licensing things being confirmed, maybe they contain something to help in this area?

I hope the 205 gti will not be alone in the Historic Rally H2 (FWD) class, the Corsa gsi would be a great car for this class with similar peformances :

It would also be another nice little tribute to colin (I know it's a Nova but close enough) :

Or there is still the Renault 5 GT turbo that would be a great candidate.

The best starting point I can think of is probably the gymkhana Impreza from DiRT 3:

The real Gymkhana One Impreza used a number of WRCar panels so, assuming that CM modelled it on the real car (which I'm sure they did) they would have a rough starting point...

...of course the interior, under bonnet and fine details would all need changing though, so I'm not sure how helpful a starting point that would actually be!

I've seen the list and pretty sure it's the final, but if codemasters do dlc, please add in the Peugeot 206, I don't understand why it hasn't been added yet, it's one of  the most iconic and successful rally cars in my opinion.

And if possible, another kit car like the renault megane kit car

We know the car list isn't final yet, they're not able to release it because they haven't finished confirming cars.

We know they're awaiting a couple of pieces of info, and hinted they might even be from the same manufacturer.

@F2CMaDMaXX Where did you get these details? I may have already seen and forgotten about it, but in case it's something in twitter I missed or so, could you relay it please?

Wasnt there an Playstation QnA that's kinda related. I think one asked for both the 206 and the 307. And the codies were vague on the answer and coupled with Paul's outright denial of the 206's inclustion back when that norwegian article was posted. If anything I would put some chips on the 307. It would fit with the 2007 focus since they are kinda in the same era of WRC. And it was my favorite car in the original DiRT

@F2CMaDMaXX  May be from the same manufacturer you say? I bet the items are Peugeot 208 R2 and Peugeot 206 WRC. What's your bet?

I hope the 206 WRC is in there. I have fond memories of seeing that car drive full speed on the stages of the Ypres Rally between 1999 and 2003. I loved the 2003 versions of Thiry (European Championship 2003) and Loix (Condroz Rally 2003).

Hmmm! Not much love here for my favourite cars: '60s and '70s

We grow old.

Granted though, we have a good showing from those era's, sure there are lots more, but in balance, we have "enough".

As for my guesses, I actually don't really know, a completely uneducated guess would be a couple of Citroens.

Actually, that's a lie, i do have a thought here;

Previous gossip that no one picked up on, was a random user asking Paul if the Skoda R5 was going to be in game, his answer?  "Not at launch"
I followed up with asking is the Skoda R5 in the original line up of cars? it is not (someone correct me here)

Now, do i think the remaining "couple of things to tie up" include the Skoda?  Maybe, but with caveats.

1) I'm not sure the comment 'not at launch' would be used for something not signed yet.
2) I can't think which two Skodas would be in game.

Now, just because it could be 'two from the same entity' - does not mean they will be, however, i think the (likely) two remaining licenses are not Skoda.

Not 100% sure where we're getting 'two' from, but if there are, my guesses are 307 for U2L and 208 R2.

The comments on the Skoda to me say "we're still trying, but if we do it will be DLC". If there needed to be other Skodas, the Felicia kit car could be one, although it would be massively outclassed by the Peugeot and Seat, or the 130RS in H2 RWD, although this would again be outclassed by the others there, or the Octavia or Fabia WRC in the U2L class.

The latter would probably make most sense and the Fabia, aside from being another Colin McRae reference, is fairly common in private hands in national rallying.

Moreso though, I think "a couple of things" is just a turn of phrase. I don't expect much, if anything, to be in the final car list that wasn't in the beta being tested.
