DiRT 4 Confirmed Car List

Recommended Posts

The Mitsubishi R5 sounds quite nice. As do the Ford and the Peugeot. The Hyundai doesn't sound very exciting. Similar dull engine note as the Skoda.

@KickUp

On Dirt Instagram account I spotted a Peugeot 205 T16 EVO 1. Is that car going to make it in as well or will it solely be the GTI and the T16 EVO2?

Probably not. It would be the same as having the Sport Quattro and the S1E2 Quattro. No reason to have both.

From what I've been gathering the only possible car, if any, that's coming is the 307 CC WRC. However, there's a lot also pointing to the car list we have already being final.

So Paul just confirmed on his twitter account that the fabia r5 won't be in D4, so that's not the one either they're waiting for

I know I have asked for more times, sorry if I insist, the sound of the r5 will be similar to that in reality. I am curious above all to hear that of 208 t16 r5 :#

I saw this, but the rumour was only 'not at launch' so i still have a little hope that it's to come.

After further deliberation, I still think they're waiting on confirming the Citroen C4 WRC. Christina said the manufacturer also was in DiRT Rally and was known for taking their time with signing licenses. If I recall correctly, when that 2nd to last update hit for DiRT Rally, the C4 took the longest to confirm. So, that may be the best bet.

I seem to remember a rally podcast radio thing talked about licensing with Paul and he was talking about bugger companies having depts that handle this stuff but were really slow and smaller ones that it was the same person answering the phone that just says yes.

Well what about Meeke's C3 as a surprise ? Or would that simply be impossible ?

Sorry. Forget it. Anything 1.6 liter with WRC in its name has already been put out the window.

Can anyone explain why all modern WRC spec cars are out after they were in dirt rally? I understand this year's new gen cars as that's going to help sell the wrc game but why all of it?

Unlike the transition from 2 liters to 1.6, which saw all 2 liter WRCs effectively removed from World Rally events, the new 2017 WRC cars did not completely replace the older 1.6 liter cars. There's still a trophy, aimed at privateers who can run the older spec cars if they so choose and compete for points. Other than that, you need to ask the WRC Promoter for specifics, but it has to do with the fact that those cars, even the 2016 cars, are still heavily associated with World Rally events.

I cant see why Polo 2017 didnt make it to Dirt4, it is a 2017 spec WRC car, and every rally fan would love to get an accurate simulation of new spec WRC (driving them on WRC7 it would be crap) and the studio doesn't need to deal with WRC license (that is impossible) '' just with Volkswagen ''
