To make f1 2017 less arcade...

Recommended Posts

Remove the rainbow road racing line and put in skid mark racing lines like the old Papyrus games of the 90's ( real sims ). Also show tire temps from outside middle inside so we can properly adjust camber.

Yeah, I agree with that! ERS Management should be in the game too. Like in Assetto Corsa with different MGU-K and MGU-H modes. This would make league races even more interesting!

100% agree.

Well the next logical argument would be just to include all three; racing line rainbow, breaking skidmarks and disabled as options.

Wait I misunderstood, are these skid marks to like mark braking points and whatnot? If so that's brilliant. I'm trying to move off racing line but I can't without losing like 2 seconds so I leave it on. If there are skid marks or rubber laid down at braking points, that'd be awesome!

Yeah the asphalt on the tracks lack character. They barely change during the race. Idk why they took skid marks out the games, they were in 2012 & 2013.

You're right mate. I wish we could get a "flatspot" if we lock up, like in real life.

In some circuit in F1 2016 the racing line looks whiter than the rest of the track, mostly at Spa. It looks kinda weird...

I really don't like they way they did the graphics in f1 2016 (by which I mean mostly the colour pallet), it makes it feel a lot less realistic. Also the standard camera I hate cause I find it hard to tell where other cars are on it and where my actual car is and what it's doing since I get no feel on pad (on pc), of what it's doing.

There are skid marks around the braking zones. Racing line is lighter in color because all the rubber gets flicked off to the side. Look for the clean part of the track

Yes but id like an embellished version of skidmarks so it could be used as an assist as obvious as the rainbow assist. Would be cool.

I've said previously that there should be more temperature related aspects to the game, i-e - outside the temperature window and you risk traction loss or more lock ups on the brakes, under/oversteer, etc. Its too easy to run at 100% pace and not have any downfalls.

hope they are right cause this is a thing that makes alot difference, exspecially in league racing.

Would definitly make it far more interesting. To me however, racingline on wet circuits is more clear than in the dry. To me, the racing line should become darker over the cause of the race. (more rubber and skidmarks), not lighter as was previous stated but I can be mistaken here.

With the current tire compounds, on a dry track the racing line will be the lighter part of the track as the tires scrub the rubber off the track.  It's only the major braking zones that you see a bit of rubber getting laid down. I do agree with the OP that the game should be made less arcadish tough. Right now F1 2016 slots in between simcade and arcade.  In fact it's more arcade with simcade features.  The game should be made more simcade to boost replay ability.  Tbh, I think CM should make F1 into a sim and give the the user the option to turn off ALL sim racing aspects of the game

Thanks for clearifying that for me.

It needs like rFactor 2 has with it's 'RealRoad' where the more laps you do the more rubbered the racing line gets, which is also grippyer than outside of the line just like real life.

Of course if the rain comes down you want to stay off the rubbered line and find grip else where.

Some suggestions for F1 2017 or 2018

- More Safety Car (someone crash out in 2016, VSC, but if nobody crash just like some front wing damage, SC)
- You should modelling other drivers from different leagues like F2 etc... (we would like 40 drivers)
- You can do transfers because in 2 seasons it gets boring to see the same drivers in the same spots and everything
- You should get less points at the upgrades because in 2 or 3 seasons you can MAX out the car and there are no hard races anymore

Thank you for read my discussion if you like it please Agree or Like or Awesome.
Sorry if i have something wrong in english im from Hungary.

Unfortunately, transfers and lower series are limited by licensing issues, so probably they can't do real teams and drivers for lower series, and definitely no changes in F1. Would be great to have a fake F2 with fake teams and drivers though. And you could sign for like Merc or RB and they'd use you for testing and Friday's while you do F2 alongside. Great idea! And no worries, your English is fine!

Driver transfers is the last piece of the puzzle to complete the career mode. Without it the career mode gets stale very quick, at least for me. I get that licensing issues prevents us from seeing Hamilton transferring to Ferrari but CM can get around it by introducing the reserve drivers for the first time in the game and switching around the number 1 and 2 drivers. This will keep every season fresh. I don't think it's very realistic to do 10 seasons and during that time all the drivers remain the same.
