I hope to see the 1976 F1 cars of the famous duo James Hunt and Nikki Lauda. Just gotta drive these two cars on Monza and Monaco!!
I don't think they'll add two cars of the same years, but one of the two would be nice :)
But they will just bring Cars from the last 30 Years. See it at Page 1. So the oldest will be from 1987 or perhaps the 1988 McLaren
These Cars would be very nice: 1998 McLaren from Hakkinen, 2006 Renault from Alsonso, 2009 Brawn GP from Button, 2007 Ferrari from Raikkonen, 2008 McLaren from Hamilton, 1997 Williams from Villeneuve, 2000 Ferrari from Schumacher

I'm so excited about this edition of the game  because of the classic car content, that I pre-ordered yesterday, two months in advance of release dated, and something I never do.  I placed my order with Amazon.com USA, so I hope that translates well for me to obtain the Senna's MP4/4 - just gotta race that car on Monaco. But on another note, if it weren't for the classic content being included in this year's game, I would have passed on F1 2017, despite the new regulation cars, but looking forward to 2018 with Paul Richard and Istanbul Park as two amazing track add-ons!

Does anyone know if we can expect to see anything f1 related from Codemasters at e3?
 I am already aware they'll probably do Dirt 4 which I plan to buy the second it goes on offer for the first time. But anyway does anyone have the schedule for that matter aswell?

They would have to, the game is only a few months away. It needs promoting.

i'm still worried. time passing. release date getting closer. And the main focus seems to be classics. Using distraction by drip feeding us car trailer info thats nothing more then stills in motion. Makes me worry its a tweaked copy and paste Makes me wonder what if any new features are for the regular game. VR? finally working cranes for crashed cars?  more engine failures?? a trophy room?? better sound?? real damage? telemetry? interviews? full barrier damage?? commentary? wet starts under SC?? full pit control?? right now im not sold alone on classics and a few alternative tracks. For die hard sim racers such as myself and others alike that own every sim or racing game title the current mentions have already been taken for a spin. right off the top of my head most wanted car here since codies made the first classics.. Ayrton's car... forza 6 dlc...you need a game changer @ Codemasters. You hold an exclusive. license to a major technical and glamour motorsport in the whole world. Its time FOM lets you start showing it by giving us quality revolutionary content, not incomplete content that has already been done by the competition... seriously? not a SINGLE classic track? just alternate layouts to 2017 tracks.?? i hope one includes the old Monza layout with the banking... otherwise classics will get old quick... just like the 13 title did.

What bugs me is how they will incorporate the classic cars into the career mode. It seems far fetched. How many current F1 drivers get to drive 12 classic cars in their career??? If you ask me it just sounds ridiculous that CM went this route.  The money they spent to acquire the license for these cars must cost quite a bit. I'm sure it's cheaper to acquire the GP2 series and incorporate that into the career, at least it would be realistic. Even better, just pick an iconic year in F1 and give us the teams and drivers for that season.

Yeah so am I unless they show me something meaningful regarding the career mode I could see myself skipping this year or at least waiting till it's really cheap as I don't think it'll hold my interest for long. I like the idea of the classics and tbh it's the only decent thing about 2013. But unfortunately this year it's going to take more than just a few classic cars to get my attention.

That's sorta like EA saying saying cod has guns and they need a game changer so they make a battlefield without guns :joy:

Also I don't wanna be 'that' guy aka the grammar nazi but your post is super difficult to read (in a phone at least) Use paragraphs if you are going to write a bible :)

Finally, I think I speak for most normal people here in saying that who in their right mind would want to waste time behind a car going slower than my nan when you can easily drive in said conditions;

Unless some hurricane mode is added than common sense tells you, especially because you make a big point about big boy sim racers, that even I who am the worst .. like ever at wet weather driving can still keep a car on the track in the worst weather settings possible! So since you are so professional my good sir why don't you stop whinging and play your simulator games that are so much better :)

Anyways I rest my case and I just want to make this clear to all you 'new car smells' that the game is most likely finished now and they're just brushing up on the odd bit of code and finding bugs to fix with the beta testers, so stop minging around and asking for stuff that's obviously not gonna get answered !

What....soon! LOL :smiley:
No but seriously....I think it's time for at least one image of the 2017 cars; after all that's what the core game is about...is it not?

I have to say, the classics inclusion is a nice feature without doubt; and given this year especially as it has my all time favourite 2 cars...the MP4/4 and RB6!. However, given the amount of time i put into playing F1 2013 in regards to the classics was minimal as without a full grid and championship, the classics mode felt empty and more 'time trial' based...
I have my other 'sims' for my era fixes so the classics in this iteration won't be used any more than i did with F1 2013!

So @jennyannem ....Please let's have something/anything in the way of content from the actual '2017' season, because that's where my attention will be focused.

THX!

@jennyannem

Why don't we have team meeting this year? Is good for those who aren't in the beta. I wanted to have more feedback from you. What you can tell us of course, but more feedback please!!!.

Jenny we realise it's good for marketing to wait until race weekends to promote your game but it would also be a good marketing strategy to show your paying customers some images of the cars that are so revolutionary this year and stop saying 'soon' with those annoying WINKY faces :/

Seriously you don't understand how annoying it is and no the suspense is not killing but rather annoying wondering when you'll throw out the next random bit of news.

yeah it is a little bit especially for us old timers that have seen and heard it all before and considering I have to pick carefully wher my money goes because I don't have much of it these days. I want make sure that if it does end up in CM's hands that it's for the right reasons for me. I want to believe her of course but I'm not jumping through any hoops till I know for certain the game has what I want and that's a game that's not going to get stale come the 3rd/4th season of career mode because we've run out of things to upgrade and htings like that after all it's pointless making it 10 seasons if it reverts back to how everything started in year 5 all the way to the end because you can't influence any further changes.

The 2017 cars haven't been signed off for public use yet, which is why we haven't shown them off. If you want to read a little more about this, we wrote a blog for Sauber that touches on this here (second time I've linked to this today :D ). We've a lot to talk about, some of which we allude to in our announcement blog :)

So... Announced Classic cars playable in E3? :D

Anyway, I know the lack of news sucks is not good, but, talking from the Beta 1 point, there is some cool stuff to talk about, and some people might be very happy.

You mean the official TV HUD? Disappointing that the 2017 cars can not be revealed soon. Hope there are Some other major features included besides the Classic car and career mode, meaning core F1 features such as mechanical and electronical failures, red flag, celebration lap

i don't see the relevance to jenny's link to that old article speaks about F1 2016 its release.date and the making of it. F1 2017 is not on the same time frame year or release date, even if the cars have not been signed off yet they aren't actually features, f1 cars in a f1 game are in by default...logical... its like saying tracks will feature a blue sky with a sun, again logical.. the only difference is the sun and sky aren't licensed by FOM. The lack of information worries me, because i have seen these sales tactics used in the past by Codies. We where told back in 15 the game was going to amazing. Turned out a bare bones game. So with respect im sorry but a link to an old article is not satisfactory.

Well I can tell u that what u just said is not true. Just read their blog on the announcement for this game. Just read it. They've already said a more in-depth career mode, we've already seen stuff on a new online system, a new game mode (may actly be scenario mode for all we know), but I can tell u we already know this game will now be better than f1 2016.

We have more information about FIFA that will be released in 100 days from today than we have with F1 2017 that is 70 days away from its release date. I don't understand why they are taking so long to give us info. I am concerned the game will be a copy and paste from F1 2016 with the addition of classic content.
