Can you name one car that doesn't have the "too much grip issue on gravel"? I am looking for ways to change my experience, but for now car setups do nothing, and I found only one car I can drive without feeling mad at myself for preordering D4. BTW I already gave my feedback in another thread, so please don't consider me as mindless hater.
@SamRWD I'd never do, you're one of the guys that actually gave a constructive feedback in various threads.

As stated by Codemasters in the DiRT Show, all default settings are completely narrowed down to be understeering and newbie friendly.
Just change your toe-in, more positive camber, diff changes, softer suspension and go with Integrale on Wales rally with a dry and wet after that.

/e: remember about the gearbox, it's so soft for all stages. make it a lot shorter.
Will try tomorrow, for now I played with diffs mostly (no effect), I even tried reducing gear ratio to put less strain on engine when powersliding (also no effect). The reason why I don't think car setup will help is that for some reason Dirt Academy training car behave really nice, so that would mean they made dedicated setup for that. I doubt it... Hope I can make this work tomorrow. Thanks!
Don't setup your car in DiRT Fish Area. I did that mistake.

You're running tarmac tires on this. It will not work on Rally stages.

Also, check this guy, he pretty much did same thing I've concluded after 3 hours of tweaking with FFB settings on G27 (mine are a bit different but it comes to a preference and the conclusion is same):

Anyone who tried to play Dirt Rally with a controller found it extremely difficult if not impossible to play, even I have a PS4 copy gathering dust as I don't have a wheel and with controller it's impossible to play.
I've set World Records on pc with a pad ;)

It also seems that, the better the team you have (crew chief, Mechanics) the more "detailed" the tuning options are.

I might be wrong on this, but my setups I would like to share with my friends, are dependant on the lvl of their crew chief.

And I've discovered that setup makes a huge difference.

Can confirm, more detailed setup with better team.

Though I personally can't get any car to slide the way I want with setup tweaks.

Utter nonsense @Joff81. Dirt Rally had a steep learning curve for both wheel and controller players, but it certainly wasn't impossible to play with a controller. I'm not a great gamer, but I managed to beat the whole game (PS4) with a controller.

The cars are definitely more predictable in Dirt 4 and you don't run the risk of getting fired into the air if you clip a rock now, so in that sense you could say the improved physics have made things easier.

A huge step bacwards after Dirt rally!

What the hell is that bad looking digital display in a lot of cars, evenin an old Subi?
Milestone was used like those one-style displays in WRC3 about 6 yrs ago... Very annoying, very unrealistic
The dash in the S7 Impreza WRCar was incorrect in Dirt Rally @mesa, the interior you see in Dirt 4 is spot on. Including the digital dash:

Thaks! You are running gravel tyres in DirtFish though (confirmed by KickUp himself).
