DIRT 2 X DIRT 4 Comparison of graphics.

Recommended Posts

I want to understand how that the DIRT 2 a game of 2010 has a more detailed car interior than the DIRT 4 game of 2017?

Even the DIRT 2 windshield when it's cracked has much more detail than this dirt 4 that looks awful at it.

In dirt 2 we had better dirt and water effects along with the dirt
Ja no dirt 4 is a dead game in this issue, has no effects and the worst rain effect has, as that can a 2017 launch game is horrible in these details inside the car.

Dirt 2 we had the simple option of characterizing the cars with advertising horn horns up to character buffs like a skull with the eyes spinning in each direction that the car would we also had two dice punched in the retrovizor from inside the car, This is all simple More of a reality to the game and leaves the player more attached to the game.

In DIRT 2 we had several racing modes as one that was really cool and fun called GATE where we had to accelerate on difficult tracks hitting some boards that was a lot of fun

On dirt4 there is nothing of this I said I hope very much that a PATCH with these updates SIMPLE more that of the LIFE more to the GAME that I hope very much that it improves.

I am just a player who loves the DIRT series plus the DIRT 2 for me is still the best for having several game modes and many details about the car.

The only thing I'd possibly agree on could be the water splashes, and even that would still require more thinking. If you really think that dirt 2 has better graphics than dirt 4 I suggest getting checked for cataracts or myopia.

I for one am appalled that there are no horn horns in the game

Dirt 2's broken windshield was a 2D texture overlaid onto the windscreen. In Dirt 4 the windshield actually breaks. You can see the light glistening off of the crack.

I do agree that car interior textures are really not great (Try the trophy truck with netting on the window, almost no texture at all maxed out on PC) but the particles of water/dust, lighting, track geometry, shaders, and track textures are all significantly better. You also posted 3 pictures of D2 and none of D4 so it's not really a comparison is it?
The other thing I noticed is that D4 water splashes don't ripple, whereas D2 does. As to the windshield, yes, the D2 windshield is a 2d texture, and no, it doesn't look great in D4 but it is an actual break. Trade offs. I can also state for a fact that D2's windshield water is not as good.
What I'm trying to say is, make a list of actual legitimate complaints that aren't just "Ugh, look it's ugly" and make an actual comparison we can talk about.

Yes you missed pictures of dirt 4, but we have to be realistic and speak that graphics of the interior of the car in dirt 4 is much below the dirt 2

Also, as to you're other complaints, well, you're wrong there too.

Why do you need a horn in a single player game? D2 had actual multiplayer, D4 has rally vs. ghosts, or rallycross where the spotter calls out car position. Not to mention that they don't use horns ever. People hated the "dudebro" of D2 and that included Hula Girls and fuzzy dice. I didn't mind them, but we're in the minority, the community wanted it axed with a vengeance, and again, not a thing real people do.

This is in the game in the Dirtfish location. If you're talking about the trailblazing type events, of which are not present at all in D4, then well, yeah, they're not present and they never said it would be.

This is not English.

Dirt 2 is a great game, and I love it too. I'm also disappointed by the lack of disciplines, being ran down to a paltry Landrush, small RX and a main focus on 5 locations of Rally. All of these are valid complaints, but yours are not. Just saying it's ugly and making vague comments that aren't true about things that weren't advertised just don't make much sense. It's not like the Dirt team were radio silent during these past few months answering literally hundreds of questions and revealing all the content they offered.
Seriously, if you don't like it, don't expect it to get much better. Return it, get your money back and move on. Buy it on sale later if it does get better for you.

I will not return the game, I will continue playing so I really like the dirt series. More need to improve dirt 4 more.

Dirt2 looks like a blurry mess compared to the crisp graphics of dirt 4. Don't know what you're on about. As for the in car toys, dirt 4 has a more serious tone compared to the more goofy tone of dirt2, so I don't think they fit in.

So I commented there that the game has its fun tone and has the tone simulator. They should add this anyway, who would like to use a toy in the car would use, who would not want to use the toy did the simple would not use. This is called details for all users of the game, nothing is required.

Yeah, but they don't like that either. People get butthurt over there being a rewind function that's optional and refuse to allow it.
MGSV had a slow motion alert sequence that was able to be disabled, but people still bitched about it anyways.
Sorry man, but people didn't want it so CM didn't bother making it.
I don't understand why if you dislike the game so much you want to keep playing it. I mean, on PC you're basically stuck with purchases, but consoles have physical.

I keep playing to pass the time and the game does not stop being good so because of these details I'm going to continue with it to support the producers anyway.

Imagining being able to add a skull toy to the nose of your car in F1 2017. Sure it would be optional, but it doesn't feel right to have that option.

Dirt 4 is moving away from the 'party' tone of Dirt 2, even Dirt 3 didn't have dash toys, so there's not much reason to bring it back anyway.

I found a fix for the problem in PS4... When the console is in 2160p game gets a massive downgrade like aliassing, shadows resolution lights effects and wet effects (if this is not a bug there should be an option to disable or enable 4k mode , I did this just by chance) the game in PS4 pro on 1080p resolution looks like a proper current gen game ...it's gorgeous...I don't know if this will work on Xbox slim... try it out... You welcome hehehe
