Official graphics finally in the game???

Since we ASKED the official HUD for many years, they LISTENED and will give it us in this years game!!! ?

Even if it isn't in the game we can mod it back in anyway so it's not a massive issue. Ofcourse it'd be nice if it was properly implemented, so it could be used on console aswell. Since it does seem to be mostly people on console who want this addition soo

I can see the appeal but after watching other players use it, I don't like it. It fits TV viewing but when I'm playing I prefer the Codies HUD.

I'm fine with it when you don't like something. But here are many people who said: "I don't like it, I prefer Codies HUD". So my question is to all of you where are the differents when you even get the same information on screen? It's just the official graphics known from broadcasting and as you can see rebuilt for gaming. There will be much more realism for the broadcasting style especially for cut scenes. I understand if hardcore gamers dont like it, because they want to feel more like a driver, not like a spectator but you don't need a HUD then and you do not care what kind of graphics are included, right? Cause you want to be THE DRIVER, you don't need a HUD.
It's an official Formula One game. The graphics are part of the sport as we know them from television. Why is this discussion so big? Because we can have more than we get. The official sport games have the official graphics in the game: e.g. MotoGP 2018, FIFA (World Cup 2018 Russia, Premiere League, Bundesliga etc.). The official graphics are so much fun and closer to the reality. Codies HUD is very boring, not up to date anymore, just outdated. They always say they want to depict the world of Formula One as realistic as possible. SO THAN DO IT Codemasters!

Bring it as a DLC so that those who like the HUD can download it after release

I would like the TV style HUB with enough settings to let everyone choose what they need (e.g. Driver in front and behind or three Driver in front/behind...).

Codies HUD has also all informations but it looks a bit prudish and loveless. Hope we can set the drivers list on the left to our liking.

Whilst I do think the official tv graphics during gameplay would be a little overkill, I do wish Codies could at least do a more minimal version of it using the official fonts and in a similar style :)
I’m sure it’ll come one day, just maybe not in time for this years game...

I am really curious why they never did something official in the HUD, except for the introdutction of the circuit which had the official presentation like the TV broadcasting. I'll bet they can implement it before release and definitely with a next patch because it's just graphics. All the coding is already there it's just appearance.

Very true, I do think it’s coming at some point but it probably should have been in previous games years ago. Maybe there’s something in the licencing that made things difficult for them?

That does look great for replays and spectator mode. For gameplay though, I'm not so sure. I'd like the official style and fonts, but it would have to be a bit more minimal I think to not clutter the whole screen while driving.

With the halo not doing much at the top there, you could even have horizontal race positions across it which wouldn't obstruct any view. Not official graphics but still.

They won’t reply as they already know they’re not going to give us an official HUD in-game..

Yup I think you’re right, I guess we can only hope they see how good some of the mock-up images look and possibly think about integrating it in a later update

Well using a broadcast hud would be quite annoying when just playing the game though. The current hud has taken the style from the 2018 broadcast graphics it seems and I like that.
