F1 2018 HUD Poll

Recommended Posts

I'm not telling you to stop complaining, just telling you that comparing CM with EA isn't fair. Regarding the fact that they don't listen; we got the safety car, manual control in the pit lane, parade lap, beta testing etc. Not saying that all we wanted was implemented the way we wanted it, but we got it. So stick to the facts and be realistic about it. By the way, no one is telling you to buy the game mate, that's your own decision.

Of course there is a huge difference between both compagnies but EA might be an example for Codies how to pleasure their fans. Yes we have safety car but no manual pit lane control and no celebration lap!!! I love F1 but the game Should be as realistic to the Real world, in terms of HUD at least. Not to mention indeed celebration lap, manual pit lane control.. They took a huge step with F1 2016 so they just have to finish it in F1 2017. But instead theu implement Classic cars and tracks which are not high priority.

Not to you maybe, but I guess there are a lot of fans very happy with the re-release of classic content. Can't please them all I'm afraid.  Besides that, it's not guaranteed that EA will make this game much better. If we go in that direction, in terms of realism I would put my money on Project Cars, AC or Automobilista. Definitly not on EA.

I don't understand why people use EA as an example. EA is the worst example you can give from a consumer perspective. EA would probably make half of the official tracks DLC or they would make you pay if you want to join the top teams.

Awesome. We're again focusing on next years game before this years game is even out!

This series must be a license to print money - we haven't even gone through the inevitable 6 weeks of radio silence, horrible patchfixing and complete lack of engagement with the community following release of 2017, and people are telling you they will buy '18 regardless.

Which proves how useless these polls are. We will buy it whatever HUD they provide  ;)

Only three options left:

"Boycott" F1 2017 alltogether, buy the game second hand or keep being the little 'customer' that doesn't care about improvement as long as he gets his game annually paying 30 - 70 bucks day one.....

*Also this is just a reminder but Codies could try to publish F1 games every 2 years, including both seasons in one "finished" product, this would give them more time and a larger buffer to create high quality content and take in more info whilst actually going through the thousands of comments and ideas in their Forums, making the best F1 simcade of all times possible!

But it's Codemasters after all and they are simply cashgrabbing since 09'......

I didn't buy F1 2014 because it was PS3 and I had moved on to PS4. When I finally bought F1 2015 it had also season 2014 packed with it but I never played it and I guess most people have not fired it up. Better to give us our yearly fix than let us wait 2 years to find out not everything you always wanted is in the game. People will always complain.

F1 2016 is the best F1 game ever made and people still complain. Whatever they do people will still find something to complain about and those people you will find here. We just love to nag, if it's not about the game it's about what someone else post on the forum.

Double thread? This is the poll for 2018 not the one for 2017.
Alright so I'll make another poll for 2019 & 2020.

I can only repeat my previous post:

"8 straight years mate....."

This is the sole reason why CM doesn't respond to posts, polls and arguements to prevent being caught in the middle of an endless discussion  :*
Ah yeah. But now they are stuffed. If they acknowledge they have read the superfluous thread by closing it, that means they must have read it.

So they've been gotten by the bits you don't want to be gotten by.

TBF they have actually said in the past they read all the stuff. But I kind of understand why they get fed up of repeating stuff over and over again. Also there are situations where they can't give an answer because they are thinking about it. It would be good to have a sticky FAQ thread to answer the common questions, such as what is your position on VR (I think they gave a very good answer over in the Dirt thread), why do you not allow certain logos/livery formats and their position on the HUD.

Re all the polls - THE poll to answer is the survey that they do mid year where they are looking to gather information for the next release. Thats the opportunity to really let them know what people think. Asking for/expecting stuff 8 weeks before the game goes gold is pretty much pointless.

they wont add something like this, I wish they would be it seems they are allergic to making noticeable improvements...

I thought last year's career was a very noticeable improvement. And from what I hear they are doing with R&D this year it's even getting better.

It's more commonly known as constructive criticism. How are they supposed to improve on the things we don't like if we don't tell them what we don't like? A lot of the time we don't notice something so we are like oh yh what a good find lets make it more obvious this is a bad. I do agree tho that sometimes it; gets repetitive oh that's bad oh this is bad come on just get ur shit together. I'm 98% sure codies try their best with the time, resources and staff they have. Being a coder myself I can see how this may take so long, with limited staff and resources.

I bought it this year from here: http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/f1-2017-pc-steam-cd-key. Have no clue if it's legit actly but I didn't pay full price so it was worth a try if it does actly work. it is a trusted website as far as I am concerned so.

True but sometimes it seems more like nagging. If I here some criticism it almost sounds like we have been playing F1 2010 every year over and over again. And I think Codemaster has only twice really screwed up. F1 2015 was a bit of a joke without a career mode and from what I heard F1 2014 was a fluke as well. Haven't played that version because Codemasters was still supporting the old consoles whilst a huge part of console owners had already moved on to next-gem. No PS4 Pro support was also lame but well it's codemasters. They seem rather conservative on new tech support. But the the whole HUD debacle is really beyond me. It's just not that important in the bigger scope of things.

You are in the wrong thread. The thread about the official HUD 2017 should be closed as the official HUD  is not coming to F1 2017. At least you will still have this thread when the game comes out to whine about next years HUD.
