Tyre selection BUG in multiplayer championship - PS4

Recommended Posts

I play the Multiplayer Championship mode with a couple of friends on PS4. We play with 90 minutes practice, full qualifying and 25% race.
The bug occurs just before starting the race, at the strategy selection screen, and it affects both the starting set of tyres and the tyres available for other stints,
apparently changing them and their proprieties randomly (type of tyres , their availability and how worn they are).
Sometimes the starting tyres are too worn, so worn that the first pit-stop it's set after just 1 lap (and they weren't THAT worn in qualifying), sometimes the starting tyres are different (like soft when they should have been supersoft) and sometimes it won't let us use some tyres that should be available for other stints.
The bug doesn't always happen, but it happens very often and can affect just one or all the players involved.
To confirm this is in fact a bug, exiting to the main menu and loading the same race again will result in another random change of the tyres.

EXAMPLE: I take the pole-position during qualifying, using supersoft tyres for my best lap, let's say they are 20% worn. I should start the race with that same set of supersoft tyres, but instead I start the race with some 95% worn supersoft tyres (obviously not the same I used for qualifying), and can only select hard tyres for the second stint (but I should be able to select soft tyres as well!). So I exit to the main menu, and load that same race again: now I start with soft tyres (which is wrong, I should start with the supersoft I used during Q1) and I have the option to use both supersoft and hard for the second stint.
Again, I exit to the main menu and reload the same save, and tyres change again: now I start with not-so-worn supersoft tyres (presumably the same set I used in Q1) and finally can select both soft and hard for the second stint.
Exiting and reloading again will probably change this randomly again - as I said, it happens very often, not always.

This is very frustrating because we can't start the race with the right tyres, unless we repeat the exit-reload-restart again and again until - hopefully - we all have the right tyres.

Any idea what's causing it and how to solve it? THANKS!
