The odds are just so stacked up against him :|
RobMUFC1987 0 Posted September 1, 2014 Winning races is about luck, strategy and being in the right place at the right time. You can have the best car on the grid but if you have no luck, there's nothing you can do. You just do your best and be in the right places to capitalise

buttonfan 5 Posted September 1, 2014 http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ferrari-exit-could-open-for-alonso-on-monday-reportAccording to AMuS there's a clause in Alonso's contract that says if he's more than 25 points behind the WDC leader by September 1st he's free to leave. VetteIfan 0 Posted September 1, 2014 The only race where I'd say Ricciardo's been distinctly "lucky" was in Hungary. Jumping from 6th to 1st in a safety car period where he was 20 seconds behind the leader and everyone pitted is the work of the devil. He was helped out by Vettel's bad strategy in Canada as well, but that can't really be attributed to luck. Just bad decision making. Other than that though, you can't take anything away from Ricciardo. It was always going to take an element of luck to beat the Mercedes this season, and he's the one who's done it every time they've slipped up.

Tommig1995 0 Posted September 6, 2014 I cannot imagine at any stretch Lewis leaving Merc this year. Why move away from the best car on the grid? Shown up by your team-mate? Come back fighting (I also expect Vettel to do so, hence the lack of s*** I've been giving him). Can you imagine what would happen to Lewis' reputation if he left? So much for fastest driver on the grid. He's not going anywhere.

MBKF1 91 Posted September 6, 2014 Exactly, and this guy says that Dieter Zetsche made the decision to 'get rid' of Lewis! Why would you do that when Lewis Hamilton is arguably the fastest driver on the grid? Lewis has lost out on at least four potential wins to be honest (Australia, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Belgium) due to either unreliability or in the last case, his team mate hitting him. You give Lewis the extra 95 points lost then he'd be really smashing Rosberg in the championship, which is therefore a great reason to get rid of him.Codswallop

RobMUFC1987 0 Posted September 6, 2014 He said AT LEAST 4. Although he would have had a great chance to win all 5, but who knows if he would have qualified well at Hungary and had a good race starting in a better position
