Italian media were the first to report Montezemolo will leave though.. Anyway, we'll know in 2 weeks..Or not? :p http://www1.skysports.com/f1/report/12479/9483376/eric-boullier-dismisses-reports-mclaren-will-announce-their-2015-line-up-at-suzuka

What? No, I want to see Alonso in F1 for as long as he is capable of producing the races he does now, the guy is still a great driver.

VetteIfan 0 Posted September 22, 2014 Why does everyone still think Alonso is going to leave Ferrari? Straight from the horse's mouth "it's been a year now I have been saying I definitely want to stay at Ferrari and then also extend my contract". You aren't going to get a much more cast iron commitment than that. There was a time when it was a situation in the balance, but with that statement I see it as no more than a silly season rumour. XoxFlukeXox 38 Posted September 25, 2014 Lukedfrt said: Ferrari is his best option for next year. Completely agree.... I've been hearing all sorts of rumours about him going to McLaren or Lotus. Not sure why he'd want to go to either of these teams:1) Both teams are performing worse than Ferrari2) It didn't exactly work out for him last time he was at McLaren in 2007. I don't think there's any love lost between Fernando and Ron. 3) Lotus couldn't afford to pay Kimi's wages last year. Kimi even had to pay for himself to get to races lol.I think the only decent option would be for him to go to Red Bull but I don't think they'll be letting either of their drivers go atm. As a Ferrari fan I really hope he stays put !
buttonfan 5 Posted September 25, 2014 This is going to be fun, especially the last tweet.https://twitter.com/pitlanetalk/status/515157988316053505https://twitter.com/pitlanetalk/status/515168298502471680https://twitter.com/pitlanetalk/status/515193524812533760https://twitter.com/pitlanetalk/status/515194317053640704

MBKF1 91 Posted September 25, 2014 I do laugh at a lot of these 'facts'. If they're so sure on Alonso to McLaren then why aren't they doing all they can to spread the word to the journos, getting their name there as the people who discovered the move was happening. Where do they get their sources from?I don't believe anything I've read until it pops up on Autosport.com

Britpoint 4 Posted September 26, 2014 That last twitter quote actually makes me take the report less seriously. It feels like all the "insiders" on NeoGaf who say things like "Oh EA are making FIFA a WiiU exclusive, you can ban me if I'm wrong!"If you're willing to put your credibility on the line over a transfer gossip rumour then I have to worry if you value your credibility enough to begin with! Personallly, too much football does that to you, where everything somebody says should and will be considered as a flat-out lie. Doesn't help that we now have F1-ITK's popping up, promising to delete their Twitter, which they won't, if they're wrong, which they are. I've caught myself comparing silly season to a football transfer window more than once now.

RevolvingPrawn 1 Posted October 4, 2014 I wasn't expecting that... Bit of a shame they're promoting Kvyat and not making a move for Alonso though, not that Kvyat doesn't deserve it (even though JEV's been better this year). It'll be interesting to see Vettel in a different car, and by god McLaren had better produce a damn good package for Alonso.
afrodude41 0 Posted October 4, 2014 Yeah quite disappointed to see JEV not promoted to Red Bull Racing, but maybe he will get another season with Toro Rosso, or maybe Sainz Jr or Felix Da Costa will get the seat?

Honestly, I'd have given the seat to JEV over Kvyat. He's put in the years and despite having 1 more retirement than Kvyat this season, has more than double the amount of points. As for Toro Rosso, it's Helmut Marko's decision so expect to see Mick Schumacher or someone of that age in the car.
