Dirt 4 Tier 1/2 competitive times

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I will just be told to get good, however I'm curious how often do people get these? I usually get high tier 3 times but I can never seem to get beyond it. I will have flawless runs with what feels like maximum attack in each turn. Is it because I'm playing with a controller or is there a setting holding me back? I have it on pro as of right now with a few extra assistances turned off. What am I missing? I'd love to get some ideas on this. For example I just did the H2 FWD daily flawless I was nearly full speed the entire time except the 2 hair pins yet I didn't even get close to tier 2. Are these times based off all the players before me or set times? Again I'd just like to know what my malfunction is so i can correct it.

The tiers are based on the times set by the players.

If you feel like you're going fast but still not getting good times the first thing I'd look at is your lines. Watch some replays of the best, and you'll likely notice that they have much more aggressive lines through the bends.

lines are very important also not skidding losing time.just practice play more and just try and push that little extra.no assists id say is the best way to go and a wheel but thats my opinion and others will have theirs.in general though you will be quicker with a wheel.

Thanks! I definitely will look more into my driving and perhaps turn all assistances off. Thanks for the videos too, I have been considering a wheel honestly.

Nice dude that was pretty good. I definitely got some tips from watching it.  I think my problem is I'm not reckless enough. Ive gotten comfortable doing clean runs and I need to do it faster
