Hot Lap in a controller compared to a Wheel

Recommended Posts

I have a Xbox One controller.
I have already set up the game and controller in all ways that could favor me to have more precision in the piloting, but I can never pass below 1: 27: 000 in Albert Park - Melbourne
Detail: Playing without assists, in Elite mode, and I have trained a lot the track, more than 1K of laps. Since F1 2013. And now with F1 2016 has been the hardest to pass below 1: 27: 000

I want to know of other players who use controller to play, how much you have managed to lower that time, and also who uses the steering wheel, how much can be faster. Give examples of your times, please.

Update: My greatest difficulty is to brake in the corners and to accelerate again with smoothness and speed, the tires end up locking. I can not be regular enough with these buttons in the controller, sometimes I do very well, but I can not keep on all the laps, and when I try go to the max limit, I'm off the track...

As a pad player myself, idk how to explain how to do it. But rly you HAVE to be smooth. but it's like on f1 2013 i'm within 5 tenths of limitless. But on f1 2016 i'm lucky to be within 5 minutes. But jokes aside this game is very different and 1k laps isn't as massive amount since f1 2013. I've probably done in the region of 30k since then. I've only spent 270 hours on f1 2016 on xbox and done 3.6k laps. *F1 2016 is my least played game since f1 2011*. for reference someone like @JP072 who's on these forums has done 12,600 or limitless has done 6k. So laps is one of your issues here. Just practice at the moment f1 2016 is probably the hardest game on pad aswell. There's nothing missing there apart from experience.
Jesus Christ I made that a lot longer than it needed to be

F1 2015 8k laps
f1 2016 12 k laps

starting with the worst wheel but now having a solid wheel. So can't help with controller help really but i think the following is important also.
But yeah its track knowledge, mark the max of the car, dont overpush ( i still try to keep going to go to fast and make mistakes ) adapt your driving style to the car, setup improving, find out what you like with setups, become confident with how fast you can go but staying on track, and there is always you.

And my stupidst mistake was that most of that huge amount of laps i drove. that i never compared to others. I learned myself a way to drive that was not the right way.
I got in contact during my first league aproach with a really fast guy and we chatted for a while and where talking about my pace. Cause i couldnt understand i was so much slower. Well long story short, watch youtube video's for example from aor, see how they drive and see what you are doing wrong and work on it, be critical on yourself if you really want to improve.it takes effort and it will frustrate alot but it will pay off. I'am not one of the very fastest outthere yet but trying to get there. Making progress so watch out;)

Ps i just had alot of free time and yeah race addict i suppose.
@haydn23 i also didnt expect my reply will take so long ;)
