Logitech Momo vs. Logitech G25

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about replacing my old Logitech Momo with a Logitech G25.
Has anyone some experiences with a G25? Is it a better racing feeling with a G25?
Thanks for replying.

Okay I may not be the best person to answer this question. I don't own one but I've tested one at my friend's house. It's not discreet, it makes quite a bit of noise and I don't know whether it was the game or the software it was run on but the wheel wouldn't center, I think that was just the fact it was run on a crappy PC or that the wheel was worn. For me it's difficult to recommend you the G25. If you want a real upgrade the G27 could be yours only for a little more. And I have nothing to say about it other than it's running flawlessly, I've been using it for 8 years now and it's still working as well as it did out of the box, and it doesn't have the problems mentioned above

I, again, would recommend the G27 over G25. I have had my G27 for a few years and it has never had an issue. Even when I modified it by adding a new "F1 rim" that I made. It is a really good wheel and only don't use it now as my PC is unable to run the games!

Yup, G27. A good reliable wheel with almost guaranteed compatibility with any game.. I highly recommend it.

Isn't both G25 and G27 already discontinued tho, and if so, you can't find them anywhere new? Just asking, not judging. G29 and G920 (which is the same, than G29, but for Xbox One) are both basically the same wheels, than G27, just bit updated. Of course, there's the brake pedal thing, that's better in G27 pedals, than what it is in G29/920's pedals...

Yeah but you can find some second hand for much less. The G29/920 are brilliant if not the best wheels but they're so damn expensive. But yes G25 and G27 are discontinued

The thing is I could get a G25 for 90€.
The G27 is more expensive so I think no real option for me.
If you can still find a G25 which is older than a G27 and on a deal, chances are probably better that you can find a G27 on a deal. Have you looked on EBay etc? Even if it's a bit more, you won't regret it.

Thank you for confirming that. But yep. If he want to get Logitech wheel, then he should go for G27, it's really no-brainer, as it's newer wheel, even though, yes, he could find pre owned G25 very cheap.

But still, G27 is probably the way to go, if he don't want to use bunch of cash to get G29/920, which I have (G29) and it's awesome wheel, indeed. Didn't even think about getting Thrustmasters wheel, because I would of needed to buy the pedal add-on, which at least here in Finland, would of increased the price of the whole set to same as G29's price was on the store I bought it...
