What should I do when encountering cheaters in F1?

Recommended Posts

So I was in a lobby with a friend today and there was a player who was spoiling the game for us with clearly unrealistic times.
We were racing on Suzuka and the questionable player was consistantly setting times around 6 seconds per lap faster than the rest of the lobby.
I don't know what to do because I understand that people like this can have a negative effect on the game's community

Sorry, but a 1.32.8 around Suzuka is doable without cheating. You probably just encountered a league racer or time trial guy, but 32/33s at Suzuka are league racing level of times.

"What should I do when encountering cheaters?"

Same thing most game companies usually do: nothing.

Don't accuse people of cheating without proof.
Fast doesn't necessarily mean cheating.

Cant do anything if there is no proper evidence. Iracing is probably the only one with an anti cheat code in it and even then, it stuffs people over who aren't cheating through lag sometimes

I'd like to see the leaderboards being cleaned, on most tracks I had top 3 times on PC but now i'm at place 20-50 on most tracks because of hackers who drive 4 seconds faster with a Sauber...

Grab your controller and send the guy a nice message saying how you hope he loses his trainers and he has to walk bare foot all day.

I usually point out that his mum sells Avon.

I once did a test in TT at Melbourne, first corner I cut trough on the ride side very deep on the grass with out slowing down gained about 4sec the game did not detected my cut for some reason. but I was not able do replicate it again though. it surely was a bug and not sure what caused the game not to detect it the first time.

The original post may or may not have been cheating, but I hope for 2017 that CM have fixed the TT cheats - some people do lap times that are undoubtedly impossible, and on the leader board it has a blank space for their car, and if you use their set-up, it says they use 0-0 wings, which is impossible.

So it isn't beyond possibility that people can cheat online if they can do it in TT, but I'm not sure whether CM or Xbox/Playstation do anything about it or not, I guess you need to report them in some way, but not sure who you contact. Like others have said though, they likely weren't cheating and were just faster than the others.

Quite a common occurrence for me atleast. I hate Melbourne personally cause track limits are taken to liberties there. Some other tracks u can barely put 2 wheels off. That one u can get away with 4.
But in terms of tt, lap at Germany I had it once, I'd just beaten my record and out of celebration took t1 flat out and completely abolished it, about 6 feet to the inside of the apex. I carried on with the lap, but cause I'm a spastic spun in the last sector.
