F1™ 2017 – Supported Wheels and Controllers

Recommended Posts

Hi,
good ole Santa delivered me a T150 for my PS4 this year. I have been playing f1 games for years with a controller and I’m ok at them, but using the wheel I can’t get anywhere near my previous times. A good r seconds per lap off on some tracks. Can anyone give me any tips? I know it’s a different way of racing and I it’s learning it all again, but just wondering if the setups are generally different. My problem appears to be accelerating rather than anything else, and loads of understeer which has been a problem before.

i am loving it so far and to be honest is making f1 2017 a new game again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

Anyone have issues on XB1 using a TX Servo with the Ferrari F1 rim on 2017? I read someone had issues but didn’t say what system. I would assume he meant Xbox.
Yes big time mate

Anyone using the Fanatec V3 pedals combined to the recent CSW 2.5 Like to hear what settings you use both on CSW and pedals. Pedals seem great but I guess I have to learn braking all over again. Steering however and FFB improved greatly with this base.

I´ve bought T80 Thrustmaster but the gas pedal is not working. Only brake pedal is doing both functions to accelerate and brake the car then it´s impossible to drive. I´ve tried setup any time but gas pedal is not recognized. Could it be a problem with T80 or what I need to do so that gas pedal works ?
Any help ?
Thanks.

This would be a ‘combined axis’ problem.

Under PC: Fanatec ClubSport Pedals

So I assume this is just the V1, because V3's don't work. V2's do.

Have you really decided that for 2017, V3 owners can just go screw themselves, and need to get an inferior pedal set just to play this game?

Amazing regarding that it's just the pedals. V3 is working like a charme on the XB1. Considering that this is a windows based platform I'm realy amazed the V3 doesn't work. What exactly isn't working?

So, basically, the game recognises its inputs - see throttle and brake under input.
Brake and throttle released:

Brake and throttle pressed:

But then, when trying to assign it, it says Waiting for Input.

Before pressing pedal:

After pressing pedal:

So, all pedals just remain on Waiting For Input. I assume it must be a Windows version bug, then, as everyone on V3's on PC are having the same issue.

It's a confirmed MS bug in KB4074588

Install the next patch http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4090913

Thanks, but that unfortunately wasn't a fix. And it's not a Windows issue, otherwise the pedals would have had issues in other games too. Also, the pedals are recognised, as you can see in the first 2 screenshots. However, assignments are broken for these particular pedals.

There is an issue with the patch 16299.248, a basic signed USB driver is removed and not reinstalled. I would advise using 16299.251 before reporting other issues with controllers.

I am sorry it has not helped with this issue. But updating the Fanatec firmware does update the pedals, please see this thread and proceed with caution. Post back if it helps.

But of course now 16299.309 is today's patch flavour :)

Pedal firmware can can be update seperatly or am I mistaken?
If it can, I can't find any separate files for my pedals.

My current firmware is 1.30, using driver 293.

I believe it updates via the updater that runs on the wheels.
You are right. Just attach the pedals to your pc and run the firmware updater. That should do the trick, the same like you are updating the wheelbase.

 Deleted everything on the game, including saved game/profile stuff and re-downloaded it from scratch.

Oh well. That's another game in the bin.

@Hoo
@jennyannem
@DanHawk1ns

Perhaps you can ask the developers how they got Clubsport V3's to work with this game, as users aren't able to...

I’d be happy to validate this if Fanatec could send me the same kit  B)
Many validations... You've seen the thread on the forum already. Here's another on RaceDepartment:  http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/clubsport-v3-pedals-error.142957/
