PS 4 box

Recommended Posts

I have a PS4 about a year old. Do I need or would it be an advantage to upgrade to the latest model please for F1 2017 graphics / gameplay ?

Many thanks in advance for replies.

I'm not a beta tester so I don't know how smooth the gameplay is but two things are true, the 4K isn't worth upgrading for as you also need a 4K tv. Second, the PS4 pro wasn't much of a step up in specs over the regular PS4 and sometimes the frame rate is much worse which is bad for a racing game.

Overall, no. IMO upgrading to a PS4 pro is not worth it as the graphics won't be much better and the frame rate could spike often. You're much better buying a wheel or saving for a pc.

I agree with you about the part that's about not being worth to upgrade if you have a normal PS4 already. But I do think you're cracking down on the PS4 Pro alot. The machine is (ofcourse) better than the regular PS4 and I actually think the frame rate drops are much better handled on the Pro, or do you have other experiences?

I have played the same games on my PS4 PRO as I do with the Original PS4 and the PRO handles ALL of the games better than the ORG PS4. I don't know why you would say that it isn't as the PRO is definitely a better system. I have a 4K TV and am looking forward to seeing F1 in 4K...

Spikes could be because of the checkerboard upscaling. Which there we are again. It's not even True 4k it's just up scaled to shit. So even if u have a 4k tv, not worth it rly. Ur just playing in essentially a scaled 1080p. (yes ik how checkerboarding works that was just for ease of explanation)
