Thrustmaster TS-PC - NO IN-GAME FFB [PC]

Recommended Posts

I have a TS-PC Racer steering wheel with T3PA pedals, the game recognises my wheel completely fine but none of the in-game force feedback effects work whatsoever.
I have these settings as shown below (So that I can even attempt to play now I have to enable the auto-center settings to "by the wheel") so that it is even remotely drivable but I still have no in-game effects
I cannot feel the road, rumble strips, kerbs or brakes nothing at all. (Note I've also tried setting the spring and damper to 100% but doesnt make any difference to in-game effects working)

What I have tried:
- Reinstalling game
- Uninstalling wheel from device manager and changing USB slots
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the thrustmaster control panel and FFB drivers
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the game [F1 2017]
- Corrupting my profile save
- Changing the in-game force feedback multiple times to multiple different settings still no effects in game felt through the wheel
- Making my own custom controller profile

Thanks.

We need more info because this wheel works fine as I currently own one and it has been used at the office as well for something like 7 months now with no issues.

Do you by any chance have VSync activated in the graphics options?

I have tried with and without vsync, only difference that makes to my game was the input lag got slightly worse with vsync enabled. I've tried the game windowed, windowed borderless, fullscreen. 50hz, 59hz etc nothing changes the ffb sadly :(

Which further information would you need, I really want to get this problem fixed and be able to try this game out?

Do you have nvidia graphics card? If so, do you have the latest drivers? if not, try with the latest drivers, sometimes it conflicts with the FFB.

Yep, everythings updated to the latest drivers with my nvidia gtx 970/

@DGreco if possible, do you reckon it's to do with the wheel drivers? I mean i've got the latest ones for the wheel but not sure if that affects it. But it's just not pleasurable playing with no feeling.. how about sending over your wheel files in game or something, just anything that could make it work do you reckon that could be an idea?

Latest Nvidia drivers here, I also used the "Firmware update" to update my wheels firmware incase there was any problems with that. Still no in-game ffb sadly.

Just FYI, I also have a TS-PC, same GPU, same drivers, pretty much an identical PC to ChazmR and my FFB works fine. Only big hardware difference is that I have an i7-7700k and he has an i5-6600k..

First time reading these forums we have a hint of what you use to test the game :)

I install the last driver release today by Thrustmaster.
I have send a mail at Thrustmaster for this problem and they tell me the problem comes from the game, not the wheel and i know people who owns the TS-PC and all works fine.

Did they suggest what the issue may be from the game? Since not all users have the issue

F7 Mainboard BIOS available (extract Z97XG5.F7 to FAT32 USB and use QFLASH in UEFI)

Realtek HD Audio drivers are old, I'd wager this universal driver will update them.

Logitech G430 would run under LGS 8.96.81 and firmware 0120 if not already done.

Often undocumented fixes are contained in updates.

@TheChazmR has newer FFB driver than you.

Okay, so the bits you've mentioned above it will be worth acting on them and updating thrm to what you suggest? I'll give it a shot atleast ( Friday at the earliest) and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the feedback though on it StevieJay

You may also benefit from the Realtek Driver I posted for @StarkzHD

Both of you are running the latest Nvidia driver 385.41 which might be a problem.

It shouldn't hurt. Yes, I would do it. I always update things. It would be nice if you could always roll back.

Thanks, i'll try that. As for the nvidia driver i tried an older one but again it was to no avail

As for Craig having a newer driver, that's odd as i went to the link posted in the thread for the latest driver which was released 29thAugust, presumably that is the newest. Either way both the drivers i've tried made no difference unfortunately -.-
