First feeling

Recommended Posts

Hi Codies,

I’ve just been playing the game for a few hours and these are my first sensation:
- terrific detail level of all the cars
- physic model has improved compared with the previous version of the game even if not at the same level of Assetto Corsa (but I know it makes sense, F1 2017 is a mainstream game)
- engine sound: I think you can improve. Some cars (Ferrari an all) sound very different from real
- last but most important thing: I’ve no sensation of speed. The car seem slow. And it’s not just a sensation. I give you an example: in SPA real F1 reach 320-330 km/h without any problem. In the game, with Mercedes and the rear wing set to the lower position I hardly reach 310. Am I doing something wrong?

Ciao
Alessandro

What platform are you on? It's always interesting to know because the experience can be so different between them all.

I'm hitting 330km/h in Spa. What downforce level are you running? Trying moving your wings down to 4, or just choosing the second lowest downforce quick setup.

@tannoiser74 I agree with you on the engine sound thing. Both Mercedes, Renault and Honda engines sound very realistic, but the Ferrari, it's nowhere near the reality.

Here on pc I have an amazing sense of speed. it's crazy really. I also play on pad which does mean something cause, of how twitchy the cars are at high speed

Even with rear wing set to 1 , I cannot reach 330km/h. I’m playing with Ferrari, no assists and driving force gt.
