ChrisManley106 0 Posted August 25, 2017 Hi guys, I was wondering how to assign every button a different function? It's really annoying that most buttons share a function with another one, for example, id like to assign "look back" to A and the "MFD" to the round suspension button above the D Pad, but I can't because they both are actually A buttons. I find it really stupid to have many different buttons but half of them share functionality. Please help! Thanks in advance!

Some of the functions can be remapped to be mutually exclusive like Clutch Start/Gear UpPit Limiter/DRSSome you don't use, so can be left unmapped when you use the input for something else.Take a preset closest to what you want and modify with the least number of changes. Will consoles accept USB keyboards? Can you map there (assuming you are not on PC)? Map stuff you don't need to the keyboard to free up the buttons.
RicME85 0 Posted August 25, 2017 Think he means the actual buttons on the wheel. I have the same wheel and there are a couple that perform the same action as others on the wheel.
ChrisManley106 0 Posted August 26, 2017 I know what you mean, but I'm actually asking if there is more customization available. Let me give you a better example, there are two small button behind the wheel (just under the paddles), I want to map the one on the left to activate DRS but because those two buttons are also gear up and gear down, then when I activate DRS the car changes down a gear. RicME85 0 Posted August 26, 2017 the answer is no btw, they are hard wired to have the same input, this means the game sees them as one button not two

I mean yes, by all means have them setup up like that as factory default but surely it wouldn't have been to difficult to allow them to be re-mapped to other functions. This means that the functionality for F1 2017 is really limited...
