Problem with HUD proportions - F1 2017

Recommended Posts

I have a Ultrawide monitor...

HUD is normal at 2560x1080 (21: 9)
But when I use the 1920x1080 resolution (16: 9 - just in Full Screen) the HUD is distorted (contracted) horizontally.
I can not get a print screen fullscreen, the capture is without image...

The HUD of the game understand that my lower resolution is the same maximum of my monitor...

The same problem happened with F1 2016, but it was with the whole game image, including the HUD.
I could solve it by configuring the video card.
The problem with using the same method in 2017 is that if I can adjust the "HUD resolution", the game image gets distorted.
And if the game is right, the HUD gets distorted.

I play at lower resolution, because my video card loses performance in the rain with maximum resolution ...

I'm using Windows 10
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 770

OS: Windows 10
GPU: Radeon Pro 560 4GB

I've got the same problem. 4K monitor with 1080 game resolution in Full Screen mode. There were no such problems in F1 2016, however.

But in FullScreen Window mode scaling is OK, but my framerate is really low (as expected).

I was able to make a screenshot of distorted HUD in 1080 resolution:

Please note that not only tachometer and map UI is distorted, but also driver labels are not above the car (sometimes they even appear under cars). This is a very strange stuff.

I think, I also have to mention that I've got 200% Windows UI scaling ratio. Maybe this issue is somehow related to this thing?

OK, I've checked Windows UI scaling -- it's not causing the issue. I've tried following thing -- set system resolution to 1080 and UI scaling to 100% -- HUD scales perfectly fine. But when I set system resolution to 4K -- issue reproduces.

Yeah, the HUD accompanies the maximum resolution, and therefore is not in the ideal proportion. An Ultrawide screen, for example, is not 16: 9, but the HUD that same ratio for a resolution that requires the ratio 21: 9.

The game should follow the resolution that was set there, and switch to the optimum ratio automatically. Not the general resolution of the monitor for aspect ratio.

Same problem here. Also same video card. Is Codemasters going to fix this?
Just in F1 2018, maybe! Because since F1 2016 I request and nothing!

I'm glad I'm still eligible for a refund, then...

Really, and the F1 17 is the better game already made by CM, but bugs relativity above of average... if you compare with other games...
