Wet driving on pad

Recommended Posts

I can do it fine on the PS4 pad without traction control in the full wet. Use the part of the throttle between off and fully on, gently bring in the power.

Its pretty tuff, as the trigger is basically either full power or off!
No its not. There's plenty of range on the trigger between on and off. At least on my pad!

This. Unless someone has decided to race with the hair trigger locks of an Elite engaged. I can't speak to PS4 but Xbox 360 pad was pretty good (you could buy custom strength springs so I always had a strong RT spring for more feel), and Xbox one Triggers are even better.
Its a mental thing. RT's problem is its often your shoot (FPS) or run (Fifa/PES/NBA) you just need to keep them assists off, learn how much throttle you have to play with and eventually it will become second nature.

I find it fine. I use no assists and I'm a pad user. Ease off when coming to a corner and gently press the trigger for the brake to avoid locking up. Same applies to the trigger for the throttle to avoid oversteer on the exit of a corner. Upshift early in the wet as well.

There is plenty of range on the triggers. F1 2016 was great for this as you had to really watch how much throttle you put on.

For me it's fine. Under traction do not go full throttle ever with lock on, and don't even think of moving the trigger if ur on a curb. Be gentle with steering inputs aswell. Very, very gentle.

Same with braking. Gently apply the brake, don't think I ever fully apply the brakes in the wet, gauranteed lock up.
