AI posting dry times in the wet

Recommended Posts

Pretty sure this is a bug.

Playing Career in Spain. The entire QF session so far has been light rain, although tire of choice is soft (which is strange as there is constant rain, maybe another bug here) grip is minimal and the car is behaving like being on inters. I did a 1:24 in the dry in FP3 can only manage a 1:35 in QF dues to the conditions.
I have found that as soon as I skip anything, ie, start as flying lap, return to garage via menu, and even auto pit lane stuff, the AI will be simmed as per dry conditions.

To test this out, I restarted the session and I avoided skipping anything and they didn't post any "dry times" until the very end of the session after I had crossed the line (so they were completing their lap after i crossed the line and no longer in control)

See below, (AI is set to medium 50), no way could they get times like that with a wet track. All those fast times came after I crossed the line at the end of the session with no time remaining. Before that I was P2 behind Bottas.

**Edit - I'm on PC**

yes scripting behavior of ia during qualifyin session...old bug
I can accept scripted QF times if they make sense, not if they are dry times on a wet track.
If it's such an old bug, is has there been any word on it at all from Codemasters?

I had this same issue yesterday in monaco. Raining steadily and ultrasofts was the recommended tire but it was way too slippery (definitely inters conditions). Ai drove around om ultras like it was bone dry. I was 10sec off the pace, sliding around everywhere.

This needs to be fixed.
