Leo Bodnar SLI-F1 & Classic Cars

You might have a look at the RPMs of the different cars as well as the shiftpoints.
Modern F1 RPM_max: 13600 (according to Codemasters data from UDP)
1988 McLaren MP4/4: RPM_max: 13000 (according to Codemasters data from UDP)
1998 McLaren MP4/13: RPM-max: 17000 (according to Codemasters data from UDP)

Modern F1 ideal shiftpoint: ~11500
1988 McLaren MP4/4: ideal shiftpoint: 12000 - 12400 (have to guess)
1998 McLaren MP4/13: ideal shiftpoint: 16000 - 16800 (have to guess)

Now get these numbers in %:
100/RPM_max*RPM
2017 Williams: 100/13600*11580 = 85,14770588%
1988 McLaren MP4/4: 100/13000*12400 = 95,3846154%
1998 McLaren MP4/13: 100/17000*16800 = 98,82352984%

These few numbers make it very clear: Full LEDs are reached at 85% of RPM_max in  a modern F1.
With the same LED settings for the older cars they are fully lit long before you are in the zone for a perfect gear shift.

So you have to alter the RPMs for the different cars in your Bodnar SLI-F1software.
