Force Feedback in Wet and/or Online

Recommended Posts

Has anyone noticed that in wet conditions the force feedback almost disappears, for example a corner that you normally have resistance turning in, in the wet it almost disappears.
I understand that you obviously lose grip in the wet and the game tries to convey that to you, but it seems way too much, the steering is super light with hardly any feedback or resistance in wet conditions. F1 cars still have resistance turning in on corners in the wet.
I have also noticed that in online races the feedback also seems less in any condition wet or dry. I have noticed that say you have the feedback at 70% in an online race it feels more like 30-40%
I think thats these feedback/resistance issues should be looks at by the developers.

Its going lights because your are sliding across the pavement. No friction=no weight. If you go into ffb settings there is an option that amplifies the effect of the fronts losing grip that is enabled by default. If you want to maintain more of a solid feel then disable it. Just keep in mind that if youre feeling that loss of weight then you are trying to corner too fast and losing more speed than if you had just taken the corner more slowly or had been more smooth with your inputs.

I understand you lose grip etc thats not the problem its the overall feedback/resistance just becomes less for everything when the weather changes to wet or online.
For example in the dry coming out of the last corner at Monza and going down the straight everything is fine good feedback resistance etc. But in the wet weather or a lot of time online in any weather coming out the last corner and down the straight even crawling slowly through the corner and straight with loads of grip there is no resistance maybe 10% of what should be there and the car has plenty of grip. I even tried at a friends with a different wheel and he said he noticed the same thing. You can feel it just by sitting on the starting grid in the wet etc just jiggling the wheel from side to side the resistance has dropped.

Yes I have noticed similar when playing online the feedback seems half of what i am used to in career mode or time trial. I agree in the Rain it does seem to drop by more than half as well even when the car is stationary...
