F1 2017 and multiple udp

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,
For F1 2017 i use  SimDash, SIM Dashboard and  Sim Commander 4 for buttkicker but the F1 2017 allowe me put only one line in hardware_settings_config. I use all three aplication with multiple udp and ports with DirtRally, Dirt 4, Assetto, AMS but i cant with F1 2017.

Thank you in advance for all sugestion

thats the exact issue im having mate. theyve screwed the UDP telemetry up completely only allowing one udp line and adding broadcast mode which is completely useless for anyone using actual hardware as well as android/IOS apps..

You cant use multiple devices o the same port obviously, so why remove the option to add more udp lines?   I use RS Dash android app and a DLC-247 Monstadash running Simdash but cant use more than 1 device now as i cant specify a different port... They didnt think this through at all.. Im now stuck with using only 1 device!

I too tried adding udp lines to the XML file and the game just removes them. F1 2016 allowed you to add 4 lines..

their support forum tells you to use broadcast mode so multiple devices can connect over the same subnet. Yes if its the same app on another device perhaps... But using multiple devices is now impossible! thanks again Codemasters!

Ok after speaking with Cristiano (the guy who makes Simdash) there is apparently a way around codemasters limited single UDP port issue... Its called CMPS "Codemasters Proxy Server". its part of the SLI Max Manager Pro software.

Just download the latest version on the link below, you wont need to run the software unless you have a SLI device but buried in the installation folder "usually found at
C:\Program Files (x86)\SLIMax Manager Pro" is the application CMPS64.exe

This is the proxy server application. Just run that and add any proxy ports you need, save it and reload the program.. Now you can have multiple devices connected via the Proxy Server which will in turn pass them to the Codemasters game port 20777. Just be aware dependant on the application your wanting (ie dash meter pro/rs dash etc) youll need the "extradata" which is for the version of API it uses which youll need to enter when adding a proxy port to the list.

First thank you for all support.
I try with SLI Max but maybe i'm stupid
For better understanding :
My F1 xml is like this : <udp enabled="true" broadcast="false" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" sendRate="20" />
it's mean :
CMPS Proxy
Main Proxy udp - 20777
Host - 127.0.0.1

Now i try with first aplication  : SimDash
Port 20779
Remote 127.0.0.1
and i receive fatal error with all API version - 0.1.2.3.4.5.6
SimDash is set to 20779
what is wrong ?????

ok let me gt this right.. your wanting to use simdash on port 20779.. So
1: Change the port number for F1 2017 in Simdash then restart simdash
2. Add a new proxy port in CMPS with 20779:127.0.0.1: API 3 then restart CMPS

Also please make sure your running the latest version of Simdash as it has been recompiled today as there was a bug in the port allocation (Ive spoken with Christiano today and he has confirmed that V16 has been updated today even though it doesnt show on his website)

Hi,
The CMPS (Codemasters Proxy Server) is now available in a standalone pkg.

Download Codemasters Proxy Server (100% FREE! )
http://www.eksimracing.com/cmps/

F1 2017 settings:
<udp enabled="true" broadcast="false" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" sendRate="60" />

more info available on EKSIMRacing website on how to configure games or simulations
Cheers,

Ok mate i did some testing for you and the CMPS does work. Follow these steps

1. Download the stadnalone CMPS packge from here and install: http://www.eksimracing.com/cmps/
2. Run the CMPS.64bit version and add your port numbers (example below)
Screenshot_23
3. NOTE I have Dash Meter Pro running on port 20780 and Simdash on on 20778. You must set API 4 for simdash to work. Once youve all entered close the CMPS as its asks you to do BUT DO NOT RESTART IT YET!
4. Open Simdash and go to Simulators and click configure and change the port number (mine is set to 20778 example below:Screenshot_24
5. Close Simdash and make sure CMPS isnt running.
6. Launch Simdash FIRST, then launch CMPS
7. Start F1 2017 and it should be working fine. you have to remember to start the Simdash ebfore you start the CMPS every time or it fails to load correctly

hope that helps mate

I Have two devices that read the telemetry  information of the port 20777. It works in F1 2015, 2016, Dirt Rally, Dirt 4 and Project Cars. Both use the same port with no problem and I can´t change it. Why Codemasters F1 2017 allow me just to put one UDP line on config file? Do I have any alternative? Sorry my poor english
