Patch 1.6 - Discussion Thread

This is our report for 1.6 patch:

·         McLaren Engine upgrades are now correctly applied

OK.

·         Players losing vibration / force feedback in multiplayer

OK. Really appreciate this!      

·   Blue flags at the start of some race

OK.

·         Cars spawning on top of each other at the start of a race

I don't try or verified this.

·         Simulated lap times being too fast compared to actual race times

I don't try or verified this.

·         Grid penalties for changing parts now apply correctly when reforming the grid after a formation lap

OK.

·         AI will no longer post single sector times as lap times at Monaco

OK.

·         Improved texture quality on PS4

Not good yet.

·         Stats for Public Multiplayer now work correctly (in order to fully implement and correct this, stats and ranks will be reset)

OK.

·         Added Polish subtitles

I don't know. i'm italian. :D

·         AI drivers will suffer reliability issues in Championships mode

OK.

·         Various crash fixes

Don't know what are the various minor fixes.

Is anybody else still having issues with graphics sometimes? Helmets, race suits and faces go blurry when in cutscenes and when they're lined up on the grid to start the race the driver numbers don't appear on the boards that the girls hold up

Guys, don't create confusion. They didn't just make the game easier. They balanced times between sessions (and it works perfectly). People playing on 110% are not seeing differences, so they didn't make the game easier. Probably something was wrong, or unbalanced before...

Oh, we had another bug I didn't mention where say mercedes and Ferrari filled out the top 3 podium positions,  on some users screens they may have had a Renault driver on theirs!

This was ps4, online.

Now, my career haven't seen any SC or VSC in three races! (PS4)
(Had a big car accident, there's still not any SC or VSC, just a few second yellow flag…)
What happen? (I'm for sure turn on the SC absolutely)
SC system is totally broken??????

Anyone had some problem?????????

Do you see a SC or VSC in every race in F1? No. The Safety Car is more rare this year than 2016 but it's still there

Do you see had a big car accident, and nothing SC or VSC in F1? Just a few second yellow flag? No!
The above situation, in these three races had also happened!
Advise you, when you open to question someone else before, please ask clearly or confirm clearly!

the real life average for safety car appearances is once every 5 races.  that doesnt mean every 5 races there will be one.
Monza hasnt had a safety car since 2011 in real life.

I just did monaco 100% distance, and it was the 1st monaco GP ive done in a codemasters f1 game without a safety car appearance.  that doesnt mean its a bug.

@jennyannem and @F1 Support:  

On PS4 Pro the graphics problem with blurred helmets has not been fixed completely with patch 1.6. It is much better but still there. It looks like on a commodore C64 from 1985 !! Please fix it completely. For example: The helmet from Daniel Riccardo in the Red Bull was totally blurred in the driver's presentation to GP Austria.

Congratulations: The Game is the best Formula1 Game i have ever played!! I play all F1 Games since 1992 (My first was Grand Prix1 from Geoff Crammond). Thank you for the wonderfull game. I love the slider for difficulty.
But please keep fighting to fix the most bugs. (there are many)

The net code seems worse to me post patch multiplayer lobbies are insanely laggy,anyone else thinking this?

Recall, during my game on PC (F1 2017), the game freeze and it crashes without leaving me error massage. I give more details about my bug; during I played a part in the Spanish GP (15 laps) with Raikkonen  ...BUT; at the tenth round; during the second sector of the circuit; the game freeze and it crashes without giving me an error message. Please help me!  :'(

Codemasters can stick their game I have bought every F1 game they have made, I get more fun out of modding the performance files to get every car with in .5 sec of each other I spend more time on this than actually playing the game but in there wisdom they have stopped this because of online cheating ?

I have had the non save issues as well no modds installed and still it wont save get your act together Codemasters. I have better things to do than waste 1/2 hour playing Career and mid session no save and have to start again what a joke!!!!!

I will vote with my money I have since deleted F1 2017 and have returned to F1 2016 and modd it to my hearts content no more future codemasters games for me.

Also I will never buy another game that has Denuvo protection in it as well.

Codemasters are well with in their rights to protect their games but I don't have to buy them thanks for all the previous f1 games but F1 2017 you can stick it.

@jennyannem League races start soon and there are some major glitches within the game.

Blue flags need to be fixed
Starting grid position glitch
Mandatory tyre glitch 
Timing glitches
DRS Glitch

When can we expect a patch to fix these issues, these need to be fixed within the next week surely...

Bugs Bunny Why does photo mode flashback keep cutting in on my races in Championship

Hey guys :),
My game keeps on crashing in the careermode in the races not even a lap after my first stop. This occured in every race since the 1.6 update. Only by simulating the session i could finish them.
I hope you can help me :)

P.S. i play on XBox


Edit: This only happens when changing to dry tyres of any kind. Wet races arent effected.

Issues I've encountered with 1.6:
- cars not getting lit when alt+tabbing or when switching between AA modes - workaround by restarting the game
- white pixels along edges when using TAA
- force feedback not working or giving constant vibration through the controller instead of feedback - workaround by restarting the game
- gearboxes wearing and failing too quickly and the beginning of the career - can barely do 3 weekends
- classic cars don't have adjustable gearboxes, which makes the V8s useless against the V10s, especially on the straights

What have this update done.. iT makes the whole game worse . Im playing on a Ps4 and had An online championship with friends Now we cant play anymore because iT wont load it .So we restarted the game and make a new championship now i set difficulty on 80 expert but at my friends hes display stil stand verry easy 0... and the race was also verry easy So please fix iT because we wont play anymore till its fixed  . Now we can sett the difficulty wherever we want .. but the ai is always verry easy

Unbelievable!! it seems that after patch 1.6 my online championship crashed. When all players hit ready , the game enters that black loading screen and keeps loading forever , it simply doesn't open the race GP. What can I do?? Is there a workaround??

Knowing that people have asked this beforehand but, the shark fin livery update? Any news on that?
