Patch 1.6 - Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

No wonder online races are bad. Seems they are full of trophy hunters who only care for a stupid trophy instead of being there for racing. No wonder it's a crashfest (PS: Haven't tried online in this game).
trophy hunters are much more likely to be clean drivers as we care more about finishing th race and driving cleanly than our race pos. Driving cleanly maximises xp and reduces time to the trophy,

i have spent 55-60 hours online, THE ONLY people that drive cleanly are fellow trophy hunters or people that i talk to and befriend on the game.

so get your facts straight and maybe try the online before posting stupid, inaccurate and uneducated comments

The game's been out for two weeks. If some of you guys have put in 45 or more hours of "hard work" into it, that means you're having a lot of fun with the game, right?
fun? with those **** crash kids in every race? no, it`s no fun.  it`s hard work and many people spend a lot of time in this game to get the championship star trophy and bugmasters will reset the ranks because the fucked up with the statistics?  didn`t they test the game before they release it to fix the bugs before the launch the game?

If it's not fun, don't play it. Things can be that simple.

It would be cool to have a ripple type affect of the tires when going over the curbs. Just a thought

@jennyannem was the FFB changed in anyway when it was fixed for online? Before the patch the bumps in the track could be felt through FFB on my T300 but now only the tiniest little forces are felt. I can let go of the wheel on the pit straight at Monza and it will continue in a line. It also feels as if the under steer effects have decreased by like 90%. It's either the game or my wheel.

Is the game, friend.

Now I remember why I dislike people. No XP boost for running with assists off is a joke. Explains a lot. With 13 and 14, I remember doing an awful lot of 25% with short qualifying online. Big lobbies mostly and a bunch of people on FL who enjoyed doing the longer races and not using any assists

So the only people who are clean are people you befriend...or trophy hunters. Thats hilarious, thanks for that.

@jennyannem & @F1Support:

There are a lot of leagues on the console that are in desperate need for the patch(es). It would be good to have a bit of expected date that the main issues are resolved. This way, everybody wil be informed and can reschedule their league dates a bit more towards it. At this point we are very unsure wether to start in one week or 5 weeks as we delayed it for a week already.

Is there anything you can say at this point other than that you have to wait for the 1.06 patch to be approved by Sony? Because surely there will be other patches on it's way right?

Many thanks in advance!

Well It seems beta testers where busy playing the game and giving no or low feedback to codies

Beta testing process needs a lot of tweaking. Choosing beta community I see it as an issue leading to those many bugs post release
Not true at all I'm pretty sure every bug in the beta build was found and reported, the fact is we had very limited access and the limited amount of people there were meant sometimes if you wanted to test a multiplayer lobby there just weren't any.And anyway regardless of all that most of these bugs that we are seeing in the game now were not present in the beta build.

i find it quite funny and amusing, all the people here moaning about losing their stats.
I find it funny how all these wannabe league racers think their issues are sooooo important and they are the main audience of codies.

Comparing the communities roughly, the trophies / achievements (=related the to ranks) community is ~20 times
bigger. Makes no sense to compare, but there are people that care about this stuff.

They don't like that codies are not able to find another solution than hard reset. Just lazy. But sure, this small cute bobby car racing clubs can't relate. THEY are the big guys with the serious topics :dizzy:

Hello, we are a group of online pilots who ask that they solve the errors in the departures, when the traffic light goes out, many pilots the blue flag leaves without having made the first round.
Also we would like that the cars with incidents ar removed of the track since it leaves yellow flag in that zone until the end of race prohibiting the overtaking until the end of the race.
We are about 30 drivers who have spent more than 2000€ and we believe that with that money we deserve an online ready to start out championship.
Thank you.

They approved the last one in a day or two...wonder if perhaps they found an issue and returned it. Hopefully not if that's the case it could be another week away on Xbox

It just reminds me of pCars updates - a few were kicked back for various things, one removed support for a Hori wheel. Forums exploded with "Y U MAKE US WAIT FOR BREAK ONE WHEEL CRAPPY!!!11!"

And then it took a few days to rectify and resubmit. Also, they told us this which was nice, saved speculation.

Thanks for the update.

Regarding Xbox, do you know if "shortly" means today or after the weekend?

Also, will the Multiplier Rank reset come automatically with the patch or will it be done manually by Codemasters at a later date?
