F1 2017 eSport Event CHEATER (please delete his score)

Recommended Posts

Anyone else read the rules of the e-sports championship here https://f1esports.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/F1Esports-rulebook-30.08.17.pdf

it says:
  1. (a)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using an Xbox for event 1;

  2. (b)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using an Xbox for event 2;

  3. (c)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using a Playstation for event 1;

  4. (d)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using a Playstation for event 2;

  5. (e)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using a PC for event 1; and

  6. (f)  the top 5 highest scoring Drivers using PC for event 2,

  1. (together, ‘Online Qualifying Drivers’).

  2. 9.2  There shall be ten (10) other Qualifying Drivers, who shall be selected as follows:

(a)  Nine(9)qualifiers progressing from League Championship Qualifying Route; and

(b)  One ‘wildcard’ entry shall be selected to proceed to the Semi-Final regardless as to whether he/she participated in Online Qualification or not. The wildcard shall be selected based on ability, skill and knowledge of e-sports and, in particular, participating and competing in racing games.

Anyone else find that strange?

 I'm guessing that they have some pro e-sports racer lined up somewhere and are making sure if he/she does not make the grade they can get him in anyway?

Why not ban them from the game whilst you're at it too, don't see why people see the need to cheat

Like I said when it was announced, you can't have esports in a game in which you can so easily cheat with a quick download.

How do you increase the Ai ability in these events. I just went into Monza and my Ai is 20! It's ridiculous, I can drive past them like they're standing still but I can't seem to increase the difficulty??!

You can change AI difficulty in the 'Options' as the event loads.
Thank you Codemasters, they banned him or deleted that time! :)
No problem, we noticed the time and have removed it from the leaderboards. If you do come across any more, don't hesitate to let us know!

Hi Jenny, Could you tell the players what Codemasters is doing for preventing players from cheating ? Is that something you can do in the programming to prevent someone to change handling or speed of cars and so on ?

@jennyannem do you guys have access to replays so that top 5 per platforms official results/replays from the end of the event can be looked at to ensure the time done throught the event was all legitimate e.g. No exploits that may occur on the game/track etc
@DGreco may know something on the pc platform atleast from rumours going around on twitter with some times being done not being full legitimate!

First of all, thanks to the author of the topic for having "denounced" this ridiculous time. I would have done the same thing. at first sight, it is clear that he is a cheater.
And yes, it's a shame a bug as ridiculous as the one that happened to me. I was not aware of this official Codemasters forum so much so that I exposed this situation at the same time just in the Steam forum .. What happened was that as soon as patch 1.6 was released on September 5th I finished downloading and I entered the " Event "... I did not record the gameplay, finished the race in 4th place and when I looked my time was in 1st place in the world ... Just look at the screems that are in my profile .. After the scare, I already expected the dozens who knows the hundreds of "cheaters reports".

And that's what happened ... Immediately, I made a topic in the steam requesting the exclusion of ridiculous time https://steamcommunity.com/app/515220/discussions/0/1473095965307170837/

Until the patch was released on September 8th. I had the feeling that it would happen again and then I decided to record it .. And yes, it happened again. just watch the entire video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onIGk0XF2A0

Again I did another topic:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/515220/discussions/0/1473096694442214610/

And yes, Codemasters: "F1 Events" is a great LIE. I prove that I have never used any cheating in any game whatsoever, but I am convinced that the 40 players have already been "chosen". A ridiculous BUG of these shows how much the game is unfinished.

So, I ask you to correct these ridiculous failures and expel the real cheaters like Sethioz and Forza46Misha who year after year manage to circumvent the system and you do nothing !!

I sincerely hope that nothing can occur like this stuff on the Suzuka event next week. That's quite a bug!

Well, you can, because ultimately the important events happen on machines that aren't under the cheaters' control.

Don't know why people even bother with these events and leaderboards.  If you look at how the top times get the times you will see that all massively cut the corners.  Basically they are all cheaters

It's a very poor exploit, even more poor that the exploit has been used in an eSport qualifier; (those who know it will know why) but huge time gains can be made from it. Who knows if anything will be done. I didnt get an answer when i asked a few posts above (on 5th Sept) about if they can look at peoples laps to clarify if they have "cut" ot not to use the exploit at the second chicane. Time will tell!
